30 sec is enough time to hit, but it leaves very little time for chatting which is the best part of an AS game

I find when I hit reverse view, aim, return view, the time is gone. So this leaves aiming from the golfers view, which is not very precise IMHO. Plus I play full screen, so forget about any kind of chat.

I guess I'm a bit of a perfectionist, but when i play in a team game, I care and try to win for my partner more than me. I just cannot see myself playing a team game and not trying to shoot my best game. And a hap hazard aim and distance calculation defeats that purpose. But to each their own.

ps I just wanted to add that my previous post wasn't meant as a dig at the OP, it just seems to me that there is a general feeling that playing on a 30 second timer some how proves your brilliance. All it proves to me is that you can play quickly :)

Looks like the OP has a few TL challenges ahead of him. Be careful what you ask for.

I really don't know what the big deal is over the 30 second timer? Is this how you prove you're a man around these parts?

I play quickly but I refuse to be bullied into playing on a 30 second clock. I play the game for enjoyment, not to prove to a group of cyber nobodies I've never met in my life that my d1ck is bigger than theirs. Some of us like to type a bit more than vns in the chat between shots you know.

Yes, its meant to be a social game, no need to feel rushed typing  to friends and losing a stroke because of it.  But thats why he probably loves 30 secs because its the only way he thinks he has a chance due to time outs.  45 to 60 secs rule

For most shots, 30 seconds is enough time, but I don't want to hit every shot with 3 or 4 seconds remaining. That's just unnecessary stress.

In any given round tho, it's not uncommon to face a tricky downhill pitch, a hard breaking putt, a difficult lie in a strong crosswind, or whatever... that requires a little more thought.

Yeah, I can get the shot off in 30 seconds. I can also play the game with my feet in a bucket of ice and a crown of thorns on my head... but why would I want to?
