  I tried a second run with the settings and shot -4. I was -5 at the turn, birdied 10 then it kind of went off the rails. After playing Merion from the tips it's the tee shots from the closer tee and the slow green speed that's catching me napping on some shots.

  Me thinks Hans was predicting his own best score BTW.  :)

  As far as your other statement that is what I have been talking to Corwyn about. I wanted to make you folks think about what clubs do I need in my bag before I start? Do I really need the driver or should I just rely on my 3 wood and a hybrid. Or maybe just the 3 wood and have 4 wedges. What type of ball? Do I need to stick my approaches on the green or let it have some roll like on the links courses.

  any kind of headwind on #18 might cause u problems without a driver.

  EDIT : can u put the link to the score sheet, the conditions, the time availabiity sheet and the pairings all on the first page of this thread please. 

  I am getting lost looking tor the info I need in a 14 page thread.

  Makes you think though doesn't it. You might only need the driver for one hole where another club could be used more often.

  I'm sure I just overlooked it, but I haven't found the setup conditions yet, read some of the recaps of the rounds and caught that the greens were fast greens but I'm in the dark about the rest of the setup.

  I think it might be helpful to link to this post explaining the Pairings and Availability Chart in the opening thread post as well.

  It's also got all the players names linked to their profile which might speed up communication for everyone.

  Oh, ye wicked wicked wretched beast of a plot of grass and weeds...Merion as you commoners may refer to her as...

  Great time chatting with fmagnets thru the round, was doing ok until middle of back 9 when my focus was lost and posted a triple and double bogey.  Oh well...to the bottom I go!!!
