I just moved from hack to amateur, Yeah!

I am wondering if I should upgrade my clubs to starter plus or hang on to my credits until I can get something better?  Also was wondering if the tour starter putter would help me?  My putting really stinks!  What should I do??

Right now I have a Starter Plus Driver, EZ Swing and a standard Starter Driver.  3 Wood - I have an EZ Swing and a Starter.  3 H - 1 EZ Swing and a Starter, Iron Set - EZ Swing and Starter,  Putter - EZ swing and Starter putter, Balls - Unlimited kind.

I have been using the Starter Plus Driver and the rest I am using the starters.  Sand Wedge and Lob Wedge are starters as well.  Only have 127 credits, so should I hang on to them or how best should I use them?

    Thanks

    Make it a blessed day!

Hi. I'd wait a while if I were you. If you're not careful you can get through a lot of clubs and a lot of credits moving through the ranks. I'd wait for the Raptures as I think you'll love them. Congrats on the promotion. :-)

Low level buy tend to become pointless too soon. In general, unless the need for a change is irresistible,

    - do not start to buy wedges before level 18,

    - do not start to buy a putter before level 30,

    - do not start to buy woods and irons before level 47/48,

    - start buying balls as a Tour Pro, work your way through the list from cheap to expensive. Try to avoid using a ball with higher level than your main clubs.

Thank you for the advise and the congrats!  Took me 13 days to get up the next level.

What are Raptures?  Are they irons, putters, etc?

One thing I do not like about the starters is the swing speed.  It is so fast!

What is a good putter for me??

Oh, one more question, can I and a friend play a 9 hole stroke play tournament at the same time?

Thanks again for all your wonderful advise.  I can use all I can get.

    Best Wishes,

The raptures can be bought as a set, Woods and Irons - they have a pretty slow meter speed too.

Putters are personal and also depends on whether you are a ding or miss the ding putter. I used the Ghost until about level 85 and was good for putts under 20 feet -over that it was a little average. Whatever putter you elect for, persist as they take time to adjust to.

And sadly you cannot pay tournaments with friends, only by yourself.

I agree hat you should level up a little before buying, as clubs you buy now will not last you as you tier up. If you really have money to burn then you do have options.

Finally congrats on the promotion. I would invite you to a game but I am at work at the moment.

Yeah, buying any of the starter + series is pointless. There is no real difference.

I agree with everyone else, the L33 Ping Rapture clubs will do you very well right now at L33, get the full set

The L18 Ping Wedges are a good upgrade to the Starter and with some GI balls, this can help you right now as well.

Although you can reach the Cleveland Wedges, these will take some getting used to as they spin very well. But getting 3 of those and not using  Hybrid will set you up very well for quite a while.

At your level the upgrades will take some time for you to get used to them.

    Hi Everyone,

Thanks again for all the great tips!

My worst enemy is my putter right now.  Also have trouble clicking right on the line each time.  I do some of the time so that sends me either left or right.

I had been playing the EA Sports Tiger Woods golf games on the Playstation 2 and like the swing there much better.  The meter in here is so fast!

Wish I could buy all these clubs, but I do not have the money to do so.  Guess I will have to collect more credits and then go for the Rapture clubs.

What about drivers & woods?  Do you like Ping as well for those?

    Blessed Day to All!

I wouldn't buy any clubs before you're level 50 unless you just have money to blow.

Learn your starter set.  If you can't play with those, you can't play with bought clubs.  This way, when you do get some decent clubs for your level, you'll just notice how much better it makes you, and you're not just hitting the ball all over the place on the expectation that you can just "buy" your way to a better game.

Hello, newer returning player here.  I see you recommend the Raputer golf set.  Are they L33 and how many credits are they?  Thanks!
