I kinda getta kick hearing ya'll go round & round with these putters..WGT really has got everyone snowed when t comes to the putter dept with all the precision n "a truer roll" nonsense...Gonna shed some light for yall...the putter (what ever one you choose) just rolls the ball...its gonna roll the ball the same way depending how hard or how soft you strike the ball...There is no "true roll" in computer golf..the bali is gonna roll wherever & however you choose ea.time you putt...Precision and whatnot only pertains to clubs that get ball airborne and put spin on the ball...The standard WGT putter is all you need this game w/ the 30..60..150 ft. incriments...Now...Im sure there ll be yayhoos that say ..Ehh...gdub..you're cukoo how do you know?..check me stats..almost Legend..61.2 score avg..and been usin starter putter pretty much from when first started back in June 2012...If you think about..I think youll agree..it makes sense.......have an awesome day.e1...gdub

After watching the two different clubs that the bigeasy posted, the rossa is a little faster to me but the versa is posted as the same speed as the nike and it is not.

I really want this putter, but experience tells me that once i buy it, then it will be just as good/bad as the putter i have. Yeah, ive bought clubs in the past that advertised slower meter speeds. I bought them to find out they are slower, for maybe a day or 2, then it reverts to the speed you where already using before. Just my opinion folks.

Everything gets tweeked along the way, whatever the official line is. I put a thread up a while ago about slow meter balls not being that slow anymore. As usual some agree, some don't. I guess there's other factors involved.

I can only compare the odyssey to my 92 ghost and the ghost is noticeably faster. The odyssey was super slow for the first round but seems to have picked up speed a bit. Cache clearing and switching balls and putters makes no difference, it's getting quicker.

But, I will say what a great putter. Very pleased to have the good old scale back and the half dot less precision has made no difference at all. Not sure if this offset with the increases in the other specs, but it's a fantastic solid putter.

Is it worth 2500 over the 92 ghost if you've got it? Well, no. Unless you desperately need a slower meter or 30 scale i wouldn't bother. Saying that, it's pitched perfectly for revenue as most folk would have something different already and spend just for the change.

Also it's ideal for the up and coming sandbagger, way to low level for this quality. Again the WGT bank account wins.

As a side note about things not quite being as they should, has anyone else found that ball durability has got worse since the Open qualifiers started? I'm not playing loads more but the balls are disappearing very quickly??

If you can time the 2 flash animations that TBE posted to have them release at the same time then you can see they are the same speed.  The Nike (which shows in the pro shop to have the same meter as the new Odyssey) is definitely slower.

Your right Spammage, I watched them both several times and they are the same speed. Anyone had the nike and think this is any better?

I've only just spotted those videos. That's not right at all, no way should they be the same speed. Any official word on this?

Used to have the Nike L77 but sadly sold it back some time ago, and so no immediate comparison possible. I was using the L80 MAX and it certainly is slower than that and memory tells me same speed as the Nike....................

looks like folks who bought it just got a change of logo on their putter for $25

and why does WGT have selective hearing on such issues lol.
