Everything gets tweeked along the way, whatever the official line is. I put a thread up a while ago about slow meter balls not being that slow anymore. As usual some agree, some don't. I guess there's other factors involved.
I can only compare the odyssey to my 92 ghost and the ghost is noticeably faster. The odyssey was super slow for the first round but seems to have picked up speed a bit. Cache clearing and switching balls and putters makes no difference, it's getting quicker.
But, I will say what a great putter. Very pleased to have the good old scale back and the half dot less precision has made no difference at all. Not sure if this offset with the increases in the other specs, but it's a fantastic solid putter.
Is it worth 2500 over the 92 ghost if you've got it? Well, no. Unless you desperately need a slower meter or 30 scale i wouldn't bother. Saying that, it's pitched perfectly for revenue as most folk would have something different already and spend just for the change.
Also it's ideal for the up and coming sandbagger, way to low level for this quality. Again the WGT bank account wins.
As a side note about things not quite being as they should, has anyone else found that ball durability has got worse since the Open qualifiers started? I'm not playing loads more but the balls are disappearing very quickly??
