    KittyWumpus:

Sorry for the (sort of) hijack..

Opinions of players who have owned/used both the Rossa and the Odyssey L70+?

I've had the Rossa for a long long time and the Odyssey for just 2 days and the jury's still out.

I think with the amount of dots in the spec and the price tag I was expecting miracles . . . but sadly that hasn't materialized.

The meter is slightly slower than the Rossa I'm sure of that.

Like any new piece of equipment it takes time to get to grips with so I'll persevere with it . . . but I'm holding on to my Rossa just in case . .

I'm starting to like it but as mentioned above WGT has lied about the meter speed.

I don't know what your issue is, but I've made 2 eagles in the first 2 rounds I played with it, its smooth and accurate and the meter is way slower than the Rossa I had before.

Behind your click there is all math. I think that is enough reason to assume that a club with more dots will always be better. It might not feel better, not in the beginning, but it will be better and more putts are sunk. That is, if you read the green right.

Imagine that you hit a perfect shot, aimed exactly right, from 20 yards. I believe that for each, say foot, WGT calculates in some kind of random error, a deviation change, and this change is based on the precision, balance and forgiveness of the club. The more dots, the bigger chance is that your perfect shot will remain perfect. Remember, it is not a real club where feeling can make all the difference.

However, to me, the meter doesn't seem any slower than the rossa.

This putter should be marked with BUYER BEWARE!

the only reason I bought it was due to the advertised "nike" meter speed, which it does not have. if the meter's slower than the rossa, then it's maybe 1 pixel slower and is totally misleading compared to the comparison image.

i'm glad wgt advertising dept have nothing to do with GPS technology else we'd be driving to texas and end up in colorado.

we've definitely been pocket picked with this one and i'll not buy in future until i hear other player feedback.

sure it's only $25....but for a cluster of pixels which cost 0, that's not too cheap.

if you're a miss the ding putter and have the rossa....keep the rossa.....no need to buy this odyssey...with wrong meter speed.

been waiting for a updated rossa for some time (like 3 years) so far i like it, swing speed is misleading for sure

the only slight annoying factor is the 100 scale twice iv forgot its there gone to select 150 scale and got 100 my clicking without looking to blame

Again the WGT silence is biting them. If they made a mistake, they should simply admit it, then fix it. If the meter speed is as advertised, they should prove it. If they are outright lying to us, which seem to be the case, they have to live with our contempt and accept that we will buy less since we do not trust them. We will buy less and complain more, which will make more people buy less. Seem to be only 1 dot of Common Sense within WGT management.

All folks want is to be given what they've paid for.

WGT are reading this thread...so buy all means go match the meter with the rossa's meter and let's see if they honestly feel the meter indicator (which buyers rely on) matches the actual meter speed when in play....remembering it clearly indicates 1/2 the rossa's meter.

Sure.....usually there's no refund on virtual goods BUT in this instance we can prove that the product description has fooled people into buying something which was not as described therefore any refund case is a valid one.

It would take WGT minutes to reprogram the speed as advertised and could be done in real time or are the paying punters just gonna have to swallow this ram job?

    You can't prove ***.

My Odyssey is 100% way slower than the Rossa I had before.

So either you all have some weird delusions that the meter should be in ultra slow-motion (which is the most likely scenario) or by some miracle your meter is faster than usual.

Why don't you get some max meter balls, then you get your ultra slow-motion pathetic meter that you cry so hard for, eh? You appear that desperate about meter speed, I really hope you're 60+ which I doubt or have some medical condition otherwise your crying is plain sad and pathetic.

I agree that this needs to be fixed or the credits need to be refunded to the unhappy buyers.  Question - has anyone submitted this under the Bug Log or submitted any kind of report to Icon?  They honestly may not be viewing threads like this because they are not aware of the problem.
