Do you play in full screen mode using the game screen button? Worked fine for me on a windows 8 that way!

Take it all your browser cache / adobe flash cleared?

I use Maxthon 4 cloud for WGT only.I also have windows 8.I would try that browser Creamer.I suggested this to a friend of mine who was using Comodo Dragon who also had meter problems, and he says his meter is now smooth as silk, easily saving him couple of strokes per round.

hover your mouse over bottom right hand corner of your screen, then click on search. In the search box type in defrag and you should see 2 under settings, click on that then click on 'defragment and optimise your drives' and you should be good to go.

    Hope this helps.
