I got a notice from WGT that their credit card processor had been hacked and that we need to check our credit. The link for the agency that was provided works but the agency is crooked. I got a notice from them that they will be charging me $30 per month for the service. I did not subscribe but they charged me anyway. When I called them to revoke the charges they are very very nasty people and try to get more info out of you. They said they needed to know my bank and my phone number. When I threatened to file criminal charges against them and report them to all my credit card agencies the really got ugly. Finally they did refund my money and cancel the service. I will be watching though, These companies are not trustworthy at all.

SHAME ON WGT FOR GIVING THEM MY INFORMATION!!!!!!!!

Ouch, I was wary of buying credits; because I know this game is still in beta. Hope it works out for you bro.

I can't imagine that WGT would provide our banking information to any outside party.  In fact most companies that have merchant accounts do not even store your credit card information on their system, the only thing you should see is the last four digits of your credit card number.  If WGT is indeed storing those numbers on site they are more than likely out of compliance with their security permits.

I agree and wouls be very surprised if this was the case. I too use my credit card and have never had any problems, but this is of grave concern,

CC fraud is a serious issue and did suffer drom such an instance when living in Hoing Kong but the bank was very good - in fact they made first contact regarding "unusual useage". I can't help but think this instance may have been non WGT related, possibly phishing related. I am very cautious using my cards on-line and for this reason I will notuse a c/c for any of the offers on here.

Can you provide more details and would be nice to get confirmation from WGT regarding c/c security.

Sounds more to me like you fell victim to a scam...my reasoning is all members would/should have received the same notice.

Kinda like one of those "PayPal" emails that ask you to follow a link, and reenter your password, etc.

I have twice joined online gambling sites via the offers, and only for the offers. TWICE fraud has followed............OK a credit card and personally I find it inconvenience only but something to think about. Only say in case you done something similar? I really can't believe WGT would knowingly pass that stuff on as teh downside would be too immense!

Good luck with the issue though!

Just to clear this up.  At no point have we given out any members information or been hacked or been informed that our credit processor has been hacked.  This sounds like a classic phishing scam to get information from you.  You should never give out any personal information in emails like this.  If you have any questions ever about if the message is legitimate please contact us directly and we can verify if that email was sent from us or not.
