I don't aim a certain distance to the left, I aim a certain angle to the left. Then I adjust slightly for any break.

Best tip I can offer is partial wedges....

As as been mentioned, the fuller the swing, the more consistent/reliable the result.  For that purpose alone I would recommend a 50y wedge as a requirement.  A full punch will be somewhere around 40yds.  This means you can partially punch that wedge down to 25yds and still get it to stop.  That takes away 90% of the need to flop with a different wedge than your Lob Wedge, and the need to pitch.....or guess on full shots.

If you know how many yds to add from rough and/or sand, it can give you a relatively full swing from MUCH closer.

This is perhaps the easiest solution to nasty short sided misses and those awkward "hit it too close to spin it" feelings on par 5s when you felt you could reach it in two but it left you an awkward distance home.

Punching your wedges is a must to score on WGT.

learning your distance of each wedge is first then pitch an punch shots is the most important IMO 90% of my holed approach shots are made with pitch an punch shots,, yes flop is important also for when you have a really high elevated shot but thats all i think flops good for...

now are you one that likes to run the ball to the hole or likes to take risks with back up balls??

your odds of holing a shot are greater if you run ball to the hole you have 100% more control cause u can see the brake,, now with back up ball u have no control witch way ball will brake less its a green that slopes to hole.

why pitch shot over chipping,,,,, you have less brake on green to deal with

why punch shot over flop shot,,,,,IMO more control with punch..

playing wedges out of the rough say with no winds an on level grounds with full shot...

15 / 20 lie does not effect ya much give or take a 1 or 2 yrds....

    20 / 25  give or take 2 or 3 yrds..

    30 / 40 add 5 to 7 yrds...

    40/50 add 10 to 15 yrds....

now don't forget this is with clubs i use an also every course plays different,, this is bout the best i can do for ya an hope it helps....

I know this is for wedges but may as well through in irons lol.

    15/20 add  3 yrds

    20/25 add 5 yrds

    30/40 add 10 to 15 yrds

    40/50  add 20 to 30

i may not be 100% right but i am where i am today using all this.....

30 -40 % bunker shots....   these distance's are used with the ATV wedge

50 yard wedge...... 1 am = 1avatar move from full swing, so pull full power and release 1 avatar move

these are a rough guide and on tournament greens ..

1 am full bk spin            36 yards

2 am full bk spin            25 yards

3 am full bk spin            23 yards

4 am full bk spin            19 yards          up hill in feet

5 am full bk spin            19 yards          up hill in inches

6 am full bk spin            15 yards

I tried these yardages out with the clubs that I use and while it may be slightly different and partly my lack of not hitting the ding, it did help me with my irons and wedges. Thanks for the tip and for sharing your knowledge of this game.
