Putters - Thoughts or suggestions

  I own the Redwood now, had the upgraded 2010 Redwood but found the meter way faster and I did better with the regular Redwood so I got rid of the 2010 one.

  I am thinking now about getting the Nike Method or one of the Odyssey putters because of the slower meter, better balance and more forgiveness .

  Any thoughts  or help with this will be greatly appreciated and I thank everyone who replies with any positive or thoughtful insights on this !!

  Personally I love the Nike Method,  the meter is slow and the putter is accurate (pity I am not) but I am a ding putter. I did think about the Odyssey but have not tried it so cannot comment but still hear the meter is not as slow as advertised. If you are  miss the ding putter it may not work as well for you, although sharp breaking downhill putts I use this method.

  The downside of the Nike is putts under 10 feet - you have to hit harder just to make the hole, so takes some adjusting too. But otherwise a very good putter IMO.

  EDIT - whatever putter you go for, stay with it as all new putters take getting used to.

  For a lot less , you could try the Rossa L55+ . It has a slower meter , and it putts great .Me, I`m a lousy putter , but the rossa is a good  putter , and is probably slower than the one you have.:-) Happy Swinging

  My 1st putter was Redwood L44..( not the best putter in the world) however, one thing it taught me was I prefer my math in 10's not 15's..

  2nd putter L77 Nike Method..never looked back. A great 'ding' club and versatile too....can 'off ding' the big breakers accurately with practice.

  Agreed.  I swapped from the Nike to the Max to this............In truth all very personal and no right or wrong.  Versa seems fine missing the dinging or missing ding on short one's, long breaking or just a little holding the line generally.............

  I'm thinking of upgrading, also. Do you feel an increase of one dot of balance makes a noticeable difference?

  I recently switched to the Versa from a Daytona which I had used forever. I chose the Versa because it has the same increments as the Rossa Daytona  15,30,60, the Versa is a little slower meter speed and even though its exspensive  it has made a difference and my putting is improving.

  If credits are an issue then you cannot do any better than spending 800 on the level 35Spider Ghost. I used it for longer than any other putter I have had previously in my near 4 years playing the game. I even ditched my level 92 model for it. A very slow meter and good increments.

  Thanks to everyone for their thoughts & input ! appreciated immensely !!

  I have decided to go with the Nike Method lv 77 putter. I will keep you informed of how it works out for me. I understand it will take some getting used too but I think the slower meter will help me in the long run as with the better attributes than my redwood.
