So I went on BPB 10, 11, 12... There is light wind and very little elevation change. Which is exactly what I needed to plot my distances for my Rbz irons... WellI I have been a callaway guy from lvl 33 until now...

I took a good amount of time and did a survey on all the balls available that tour legends with an avg below 55 and the winner by a longshot is the lvl 71 nikes and the lvl 81 nikes. Both with the same attributes but one having a half dot slower meter....

So I decide if I am going to get better I should upgrade from the callaways. So I buy a good amount of nikes 71 and 81 thinking I can just go out and practice with the 71s and get all my distances then play my serious matches with the 81s...

2 hours into practices with the 71s and plotting club distances and Im just shocked... (Not in a good way)

I am literally hitting the ball back and forth in the same spots and getting completely random distances EVERY TIME... Not one consistent flight at all. Not only that I am noticing my distances are MUCH shorter then the callways. I am very confused. I have accounted for the wind, spin, and elevation change which is minimal...

    Anyone have any answers?

I am using the 79 rbz with 71 nikes.. Any help with that would be great!

FBS on those Nikes really WORKS.  A PW in to any head wind with FBS will SPIN shorter than you may have thought.........   Go with it and do not use FBS always (if that's what been doing).  You have great clubs and great balls but like all great things they let good things shine, but can punish anything errant (especially with FBS).................In all honesty I never mapped my R Bladez like I have my R11s but with practise I was not that far off....

E.G. FBS my R11 3 iron I expect and GET 217 yards, ease of just a little and increases very quickly and with stopping power..............

I try to get the distance with full backspin as well as 3 quarters backspin with all clubs... But when I use full backspin with lets say a 7 iron... I am getting anywhere from 151-157... which is impossible to understand... I had the callaways down to a yard or 2 at worst. But I just cant get the results I need as far as spin is concerned with the callaways... But if this keeps up Im going to have to cut my loses of the 2,500 credits and go back to the callaways.. I am honestly baffled.

I get the distances for Full back spin and 3 quarters backspin with every club. 7 iron / full backspin is giving me anywhere from 151 - 157... And that is just on impact. Not including roll... My callaways I have figured out down to a yard or 2 depending on if I ding it... And they always stayed true to the distances. I just had to o with a new ball because I maxed out my skill level with the callaways. But if this randomness continues I will have to go back to the callaways to avoid the randomness... Although I spent 2,500 credits on these balls so I would like some sort of answer to this madness!

THAT, my friend, is the cost of those wonderful attributes. If you don't ding the shot you're all over the place. It's why I stick with the level 33 Callaway, besides the cost. Welcome to shot deviation on missed hits-it's worse the more you get in the ball.

You'll do more for your game by learning a specific combination of clubs/ball and sticking with it than you will  thinking like you did. That Callaway you're used to has more than enough of everything to be able to nail your clubs a lot more consistently. The deviation on a missed hit isn't as bad. You still gotta putt, though.  :-)

I'm not anywhere near YJ in experience but agree with the Lvl 33/37 Callaways and the thought that it makes sense to pick 1 ball & learn it!  Have wasted thousands of credits looking for the 'perfect' ball - only to get confused.

    L79  Bladez , 7 Iron,  L 33/37 Cally  Stats:

    (Full)  -- FBS - 151, No-spin  - 162,  FTS  - 169

    (Punch) - FBS 138, No-spin  - 148,  FTS  - 150

& those are just as consistent as my ability ti 'ding' it  : )).

(From BPB Back 9 & 3 months of play)

I wish I would have known that if I miss the ding with these balls that the difference is that ridiculous... NO logic in that at all... Buy a better ball get worse forgiveness... ??? What a great sales point. Well I better start dinging the crap out of it because I have spent a good amount of credits!

EDIT: I just dinged a 7 iron... ...no wind... and it went 151... Ding that same shot after hitting the ball backwards and it goes 155... I paid 550 x 3 credits for this? ... wow is about all I can say

I used that iron's / ball combo.  If you are going ti miss the ding try n box clever against the wind.  I think those balls helped me personally.................hope same for you!  Even in the "zero wind RSG" that short par 3 is an R11 7 iron, and you do get some variation some of the time.  I would not hit balls backwards personally but perhaps I am over zelous (If I got you right anyway).  You will have a close mean average after time and some just WTF always.....................IMHO!
