I am thinking about getting the x hot lvl 67

I made legend yesterday and my lvl 58 g20 is a bit short, so I am thinking, is the x hot a good upgrade?

many like the R1 ( lvl 48) that goes 275 , but the xhot(67)  would/should add an extra 3 yards.

has anyone tried it and can confirm these nrs ?

you hit legend about same time i did. I never tried the xhot but here the forgiveness it has is very good and that in itself make it worth it, plus it is adding more than 5 yards to your current driver i would think

Its not a terribly long rode to 81 for the big g20 but between now and then you will certainly be at a disadvantage having hose longer approaches with the lower level irons, so if you can minimize that i definitely would.  The xhot wasn't there when i made the tier up

Then again if you have your eyes set on the big g20s or rbladez maybe just be best to wait. Surprising how much you learn when you are put in those more difficult situations, having long approaches and having to scramble and save more. As I think i have heard her before you probably learn more from the shots that don't go well or that are more difficult then the shots that are easy or end up being perfect.

Just my few pesos, although it doesn't give you any hard numbers

Yep , you got caught with your pants down . This happens when playing against higher tiered players . The scoring system boots you up , before you are ready . The problem now , is that you need clubs with loft and distance . All that you will be getting , is 8 more yards on the avg. , but it`s still a med/ high loft club .You already have that , so why waste the credits for 8 more yards . Same thing with the R1 , just a few more yards, but no high loft . So you can waste the credits , or tough it out . Set your rounds from the Tour Master tees , and play on . Until you get the levels that you need , it will all just be a waste. Sorry that I couldnt be of more help. Congrats on the move up ,and good luck with your game . Happy Swinging :-)

I still have my L48 R1, never tried the X-hot, and currently use the L81 G20.

Legends/TLs have a June tournament on RSG back 9 with no wind. I have been using it to try clubs and balls to see how they perform, and to try different amounts of spin (top and back), and no spin. Primarily I use the L71 Nike balls. With them, I found the L48 R1 to prefer half bs -> fbs. I was getting ~290yds or so with half bs. With top, less. I have a friend using the same G20 driver you currently have (he is TM), and his drives typically come up shorter than the R1.

When I made Legend, I was still shy of L81 and the upper level G20 driver. For most of the courses, I could struggle by with the L48 R1. However, get a decent headwind on some holes, and par would become a struggle to attain. Hole 15 & 17 STA and Hole 18 Merion are three examples; Hole 15 STA is a long par 4, and with a good headwind I still have to lay up to the strip of fairway to the left for my second shot, green for my third, and I better be on my game to save par if that third shot goes awry at all. Hole 17 STA (hotel) is tough with a headwind, and if you get the back left pin placement, the approach can be murder, might have to lay it up. Merion 18... good headwind, and the fairway sloping toward you is where I land. Cannot get over it, guaranteeing a long approach, protected by a nice bunker in front.

I would rent the X-Hot and R1 and hit STA back 9 until you get a good headwind on hole 15 and 17, and see which club serves you best. Another pain will be not having a high enough lofting driver to clear trees on courses like Olympic and CCC, especially with tough wind directions. IMO, Legend requires a player to spend more "head time" and practice time figuring out certain holes all over again. It is a LONG way to the equipment that will make teeing off anywhere close to as easy as when playing as Master/TM (IMO).

    +1 IMHO

Unless credit's are burning a hole that's where the real difference will be, and better wedges if you can at that time to.  The L79 Bladez are better than the G20s scoring wise, and will prepare you well for the outstanding R11 iron's.  The G20 3 wood is also very good, but will not stick like the HL R11.........................Enjoy the tips, do not worry about your average for a long time..it will settle down soon enough (look up saturated scores if you do not know that).......

    thx for the tips.

I rented the callaway x hot, and it had a avg 300yrds, week 26 tourny was perfect to test it in, as there is less than 4 wind there this week.

the forgiveness is a big plus.

I also got 290 with 10 headwind on ST,A with it, so this looks like the winner for me.

Dare I say that I think that the callaway is as good as the lvl 81 g20.

Yes I do, I have now used it against many players with the g20, and there is no difference in lift or distance. I clear the trees on olympic.

So I can recommend this to all low level Legends.

having tested the R1 lvl 48, the X hot is better.

I could post this in the shop, but player should use the search option here for more info.

I have seen users recommend lvl 34 ball when on lvl 32

and I like the low level versa , it is good for 17 yard chipping and will bring the ball 3-4 yards .

that would be a very special putter.

A bit OT, but I read this description for the level 48 Raptures:

"The forgiveness and slow meter of these irons makes them a great pro upgrade."

Pro upgrade. At level 48. Nowadays everyone is a legend by then, having around 90% driving accuracy with their 4.5 dot forgiveness drivers.

I don't understand WGT here, driving should not be that easy!

I seriously believe my G20 with 3 dots are too forgiving - driving has just become a routine shot before you start playing golf. Sure, I still miss a fairway now and then, but compared to the R9 I had before, the G20 ignores almost all my errors. I can only imagine what a X Hot would do.

My avg is with the low level g20 at 88%, so I think the x hot will improve that stat.

I still see plenty with less than 80% avg with the best gear available.

I just wanted tips for the low levels legends.

I don´t see that many lvl 48 legends around ?

    do you Tightrope?
