I am not sure if there is a way to connect the chat box to the play, but if all opponents could type "gimme" or some word that would automatically give the putt to that player, it would ultimately speed up the game.  Another alternative would be to put the concede putt button at the bottom of every opponent's screen and all opponent's would have to concede the putt before the ball is picked up.  It would be even better if the option would be given after an opponent's putt.  i.e. If a player hits a 25' putt within 6", provide the other players with the option of conceding the putt at that moment as opposed to setting up that player over the ball again.

    What do you think?

If you wish to play with an opponent and want to incorporate concessions, or "gimme's", play Match Play. The USGA and R & A rules of golf are clear with stroke play games.  They do not permit the use of "gimmies." Rule 1-1 states the Game of Golf consists in playing a ball from the teeing ground into the hole by a stroke or successive strokes in accordance with the Rules.

WGT is simply following the rules of golf with regards to stroke play.

I agree 100% with the ruling of "gimmies" in stroke play, HOWEVER I think it would be nice if WGT could incorporate an option of continue to the next hole for single play practice mode games. In the absence of either putting/chipping greens or a range, it would help players hone their game in the areas they need most rather than having to hole out to continue. Just my thoughts.

This one I have to agree with.  IRL, sometimes I will play a practice round by myself and play either "best ball" or "worst ball".  This is where you tee off with 2 balls from the box and play the your best or worst of two shots.  It's a great way to get your course management down and, if you happen to get stuck behind a slow group, keeps you from having to wait too much during your practice game. In these types of games, and in WGT practice games, I don't see any problems of picking up your ball and moving on to the next hole.

All good with this in practice mode, just not in ranked stroke play games.

unfortunately wgt does not follow the rules of golf - been in many stroke games where opponents use gimmes from 3.5ft and in. This is crap and although I dont really care, WGT is NOT following the rules of golf!!!!

I think you're confused. Say you were playing in a club stroke play tournament like a monthly medal, how would you like it if 2 friends conceeded every putt to each other?

It is a convenient method  to speed up the game.

Example : you already have made a birdie and your opponent has a 7 footer for par.So you concede that putt

So many fights and hard feelings have been made over a putt being conceded.

I have at times seen people will wait and wait for their 3 foot putt to be conceded ,in reality holding up the game.Concession is a privilege not. a right

    Personally I don;t care.LOL

If ya dont get a concede that knock it in  and move on

    hugs
