As I'm still a relative beginner, I still have the beginner set, Golden Bear. Though last year got pretty nice 56 and 60 Cally wedges (wanted to buy Cleveland first, re WGT influence, but after trying them and Callys in the simulator picked the latter).

Now you see why I want clubs added to the Elite collection :-)

Some old clubs I picked up at a thrift shop in Edinburgh 10 years ago. So they have super karma:

Some forgotten model of Wilson irons (3-9, PW, SW)

A 3-metal that says 'Foamless' on it. That seems to refer to the technology, although I would guess anybody could tell you you couldn't hit a golf ball far with foam. No manufacturer seems to have stepped up and admitted to this club.

A mid-tech-looking putter with the undistinguished brand 'Regal' on it.

A 'pencil' bag for hauling the same around on my back.

When I head to the course, if I'm feeling randy I might pack the 3/5/7/9 irons, or for a more bearable lightness of being, the 4/6/8. Just keep myself guessing.

Hogan Apex persimmon woods (1,3,5) and Apex forged blade irons (3-PW), an old thrift shop Golden Bear sand wedge, and a Coors ceramic head putter, that my dad gave me when he was in their Bio-Tech division.

Call me 'old school', but I can't hit a wood with a head on it much bigger than my old persimmons. That, and they sure do look nice.

I have an 3rd gen Big Bertha driver, 3 and 5 wood are Solitaire's...I use the Solitaire driver if the BB is going sideways at the range...just an easy driver to hit, but not very long, Irons are Cally S2H2's, that need to be reshafted badly..Cally A wedge and a no name 60 sand wedge, putter is a Golfsmith knockoff off something that was big in the early 90's...been so long I forget whose it resembles.

Reshafted or regripped? Regripping is an absolute no brainer, cheap and a big difference maker. I regripped my Big Berthas with Lufkin oversized grips and it was like swinging a new club. Clubs don't turn in the hands on impact and the ball stays straight.

I found a used set of Big Berthas at the local Pro Shop for $200- 2-10, PW,LW, added the 60W I found at the Callaway store to go along with the Fusion 9 degree driver and 18 degree HB I already had. (Don't carry a 3W.) As for the putter?-LOL, I use a 32 year old Slotline that I put a super oversized grip on. Something akin to the starter putter here, I suppose, but it works. Thanks to this site, I use the Nike XI-S ball because I've never fixed as many ball marks on the green as I have since I discovered it.  :-)

Driver - Titleist 910 D2, but testing an ebay bargain Cleveland DST Launcher in anger on Saturday.

Rescue clubs - Original TalyorMade Rescue No.s  2-5

    Irons - TaylorMade Burner 5 - PW

    Wedges - Cleveland CG14's 52* and 56*

Putter - Switching between an Odyssey White Ice No.9 and an Odyssey FTX 2-Ball at the moment, totally different putters and still can't make my mind up!

Last weekend was a 75, Nett 67. Which was a highlight of a pretty awful year of golf so far.

Shoe, your Black No.9 - Is that the Black Prototype? If so I'm very, very jealous ;-) That thing is a work of art and I wouldn't care if it didn't work so long as I could look at it, lol
