I get that top players are rewarded for moving up to level 91 and above and the majority of these players are Legends.  The problem I have being an avid player who plays daily is the fact that I was moved up to legend while I was still in the 70s.  At this level I have no chance to compete with other Legends simply because they have much better equipment.  There were some fairways I could not even reach from the back tees with my driver.  I would suggest that you make exceptions on clubs not just based on level but also based on player teir.  I would gladly purchase a new driver if it were avaialbe to me.

believe me , this is likely the longest ongoing gripe against WGT & this is probably thread no. 1 009 758 regarding this issue ..

FWIW, i happen to agree with you, but  "We Giva Toss" would not wanna miss out on selling you that G20 & R11 driver before you hit lvl94 ..

introducing limited offer deals is a step in the right direction & i hope they continue doing so ..

I hear ya and I understand but we lvl 90+ Legends also didn't have drivers hitting 250 yards at lvl 11 when we started.

Not with that  lvl 69 rocketballz driver, but with the xhot , you will not have a problem reaching any fairway.

You are 42-18 vs Legends . At level 83 , there are clubs to help you at your tier . The level 81+ G20 driver and 3 wood , with the lvl 79+ Rocketbladez , would be a good upgrade for you . I play these clubs , and they play well from the tips . So a simple upgrade is all that you need . Although having the right gear is important , your ability to play well , is more important . There is more to the game than M/P and A/S . Start playing stroke play , and work on your game . The top players practice , and thus they have the greater ability to not only play well , but to win as well . Happy Swinging :-)

Jay I understand your sentiments, however with the clubs available now to players in the 70's are very good as the equipment gap has narrowed and means lower level players can compete. I notice that you mainly play blitz but when you have played ranked rounds, your scores as a legend have not really changed from when you were TM. The  rest of your games appear to be matchplay, where you seem to hold your own.

As Chris says, the system is not fair, but it reaps the largest financial benefit for the company by players continually upgrading (and this is where your comment "I would gladly purchase...." and you probably will) and therefore will not change, however the "limited edition R1" has been very popular so may be done more often for upper level players.

Personally I think WGT does need to re-think club availability for the higher tiers and levels - take the R11S = it is a huge amount of XP from level 88 to 94, so players should have realistic incentives to play for an upgrade. And to put this into context, I have played with players using the lower level R1 and they were hitting as far as my R11 (again the equipment gap has narrowed) so of course I would want something that can give me a few more yards and be a little more forgiving, especially from Legends tees.

The other point I would like to make, I don't want to see equipment getting better than what currently exists, not more distance or more forgiving as I feel scoring is too good as it is. But then it comes down to money, if WGT release new clubs that go further, more precise and more forgiving would I buy them? A no brainer lol.

Open them up 1 at a time once legend status is obtained. Have to buy them all, some will wait, some will buy, everyone wins.

i.e, if you are legend and level 70 and want the level 98 driver, you will have to buy 6 drivers to do so or wait till the appropriate level is achieved.

    +1

Maybe a new tier? I have said that before though:)........The levels system looks here to stay period. If critical mass exists that new tier automatically converting to full Legend, say L79, would end the can't compete gripes and disallow sandbagging...Just a thought! I suspect it's a case of knuckle down and learn the tips before L79+ for some good time to come though...........
