Jay I understand your sentiments, however with the clubs available now to players in the 70's are very good as the equipment gap has narrowed and means lower level players can compete. I notice that you mainly play blitz but when you have played ranked rounds, your scores as a legend have not really changed from when you were TM. The rest of your games appear to be matchplay, where you seem to hold your own.
As Chris says, the system is not fair, but it reaps the largest financial benefit for the company by players continually upgrading (and this is where your comment "I would gladly purchase...." and you probably will) and therefore will not change, however the "limited edition R1" has been very popular so may be done more often for upper level players.
Personally I think WGT does need to re-think club availability for the higher tiers and levels - take the R11S = it is a huge amount of XP from level 88 to 94, so players should have realistic incentives to play for an upgrade. And to put this into context, I have played with players using the lower level R1 and they were hitting as far as my R11 (again the equipment gap has narrowed) so of course I would want something that can give me a few more yards and be a little more forgiving, especially from Legends tees.
The other point I would like to make, I don't want to see equipment getting better than what currently exists, not more distance or more forgiving as I feel scoring is too good as it is. But then it comes down to money, if WGT release new clubs that go further, more precise and more forgiving would I buy them? A no brainer lol.
