  we buy it by the Litre over here.

  1 US Gallon is 3.7 litres.

  Current fuel prices on the Nullarbor are:

  Average price for Diesel & Unleaded roughly was $1.55c per litre = $5.70 gal
  (our unleaded is still mostly 93Ron - wont see ethanol blends out there)

  Keep in mind all the roadhouses (fuel stations) have truckers restaurants & most of them on the West side have Bars in them too. (with some real characters)
