I've seen a few spatterings here and there about which wedges are the best, but I haven't seen an official thread on it.
So which is officially the best overall wedges: Clevelands or the top ATVs?
You can't have an officially best anything, it's just what people prefer. Personally I'd say the ATV's are better but most people will disagree.
If you are OK with the meter speed the cleves are great. The ATVs are also very good anyway...............I like the stopping power of the cleves on short pitches / chips and to me even flops generally. Very good player's will play great with either set once used to it.............
Im pretty sure this statement will be shared by 99% of players.
Which ever set you buy 1st, because it will never be worth changing for the price vs the difference

Agree. Plus you can choke the daylights out of them without flubbing. :-)
I think your main wedge problem Michael is that you only have 2 of them. 3 is the minimum you need on here. :-)
The AVT's aren't even as good as the Z-Satins that they replaced.

Each to their own i suppose , I had both sets and much prefer the ATV's , even over the clevelands which offer too much spin for my game .......
We're there high level satins? I don't think I've seen people with them, it was before i started.
If i remember correctly Courtney , they were at high level 70's , colored black , better than the lower level satins, but in my opinion not as good as the newer ATV's
