At your level ,you dont need real expensive balls or clubs . You arent ready to play for credits , so play for fun .Keeping that in mind , you want to make your upgrades count , as much as possible . You really wont need a serious upgrade, until Master and Tour Master tier. So take your time , build your credits , and plan for the long haul . Beware of the sales reps, as they will have you buying the most expensive items in the pro shop . Play well and have fun . Happy Swinging :-)

I went for the rapures when faced with same dilemma, although K15 were not around at the time.  I think the wait for the G20 irons would be worth it. In the meantime upgrade wedges, L39 ATV 64 degree 50 yrd wedge, L41 Tour 52 degree 100yrd wedge, L42 Tour 60 degree 75yrd wedge.  Both them tour wedges are 200cr each and a steal at that.

All (bar one set) clubs currently available including raptures are medium trajectory.  If you use those clubs on Bethpage, Oakmont, Whistler any of the courses with alttude high/low you will struggle.  Spin makes little when trying to stop the ball on the green when faced with a pin location 20/30/40 ft above where you are hitting from.

In my opinion one of the most important things to take into consideration when deciding on a set of clubs is the trajectory.  High trajectory clubs carry longer and stop better than medium trajectory clubs.

The next set of high trajectory clubs are the G20's.  There is one set of high trajectory clubs available to you now.  The L9 Tour Starter set for 300cr. They are the only high trajectory clubs available until the L58 G20's.

So the L9 Tour Starter set are worth messing around with in meantime until G20's become available.

I'm using the k15's currently I've used the raptures before but it was before I knew how to play the game amazingly. I've also used the Max irons which were really good for me also.  meter speed doesn't really matter, your mind will adjust to it and after a little bit it'll feel just like the super slow meter.

but i'm level 63 and I bought the level 58 G20's and they are terrible clubs compared to the k15's.

My tip for you is to wait till level 48 and then get the 275 yd driver and then get a putter. you'll be winning credits like no other. good luck have fun, buddy me if you'd like to play and I'll show you the godliness of the k15's.

I'm thinking about the raptures just to try them out now that I'm knowledgeable enough to be able to tell a difference. I may rent them out soon

I'd like to thank everyone for your responses. They have been very helpful. I'd like to especially thank G7777 for such an insightful review of both the clubs and the meaning of what the dots actually affects.

I'm not a ding hitter, though I'm usually close. Even if I got used to a faster swing speed I doubt my ding accuracy would improve beyond what it is now. It sounds like the small extra distance of the V2s is not that important and that both sets play equally well.

Dynamite Tommy and Neilecramer both give the K15s high marks, plus buying them will allow me to add a new wedge to my bag now rather than later. So based on what these 3 have said I think I will opt for the K15s rather than wait for the V2s(still only lvl 42, though will hit 43 with my next game I think.)

I appreciate those who have tried to save me some credits by suggesting a wait until the G20s and perhaps if I was better at dinging I would give that serious consideration. I've reached the point where my mechanics are good but my starter clubs are failing me. Some Par 4s I call Par 4.5s because unless I do everything perfect I am not going to get a shot on the green for a chance to make par.

I enjoy playing the game...I don't know if I care to play for credits against others except maybe in the tournaments. That could change later, who knows.

Maybe I'll see each of you around on the courses sometime. Thanks again for the help.

Congrats on your purchase. I checked your page and noticed you holed a shot from 123 today...was that with the K15s?

I know the others meant well and were trying to save you money, but its hella long way to level 59 as these levels are getting harder and harder to reach. All I know about these clubs is my own first hand experience. With the Level 15 RocketBladez I was okay, but not terribly competitive at the Pro and Tour Pro tiers. Right after making Master, I decided to make the switch to the K15s and the improvement didn't take 2-4 rounds..it was instant. I'm way more competitve at the Master tier than any other tier. Depending on course and conditions, I can usually hit 14-16 greens a round now and I just hit 17/18 on the Best of Par 3 today(the one miss was with a hybrid).  I do tend to stuggle on uphill approaches with front pin placements, but using a ball with decent spin will keep you inside 20-25 feet.

Best of luck with your new sticks!!

Thanks Neil, it was indeed done with my new K15s. If my putting was better I would have made another eagle today on a par 5 that I was able to reach the green with 2 hits, did make a birdie out of it though after stopping just a couple feet shy with my eagle putt try. I also made the green on hole 18 of St. Andrews in one shot but that was a combination of wind and good luck. The ball hit right on that pavement and got a great bounce forward along with a heavy tailwind. I've already shaved a couple strokes off my game and making more birdies than before so I'm pleased with them. Thanks again everyone.

I'm glad you took the k15 advice. and you are noticing yourself that they are one of the best sets in the game. Stay away from the g20's at level 59 they are probably 1/5 as good as the k15's. I shoot 58's with the k15's no problem. I've had to shoot terrible scores on purpose just to get people to play me.

once you hit level 48 and get the 275 driver try playing some skins matches for credits. legends will have a problem with you. Unless they are level 94 or whatever the highest iron set is.

once you hit Champion greens you'll need at least a 4.5 spin ball with the k15's to manage them well. other than that. I'm only level 63. and the only decent clubs I see are the rocketballs and rocket blades in level 60 and 70. I think the raptures will be better than the level 60 rocketballs and the level 70 rocketballs may be next club to get after the level 48 raptures/k15's
