    Found this on their site:

    HEX AERODYNAMICS

Callaway’s patented HEX Aerodynamics produce 100% surface area coverage on a golf ball whereas traditional round dimples typically cover only 88% of the surface. This highly engineered pattern provides the best aerodynamic performance ever in a Callaway golf ball, reducing drag and promoting a stable, penetrating ball flight.

    DURASPIN COVER

This proprietary urethane cover formulation significantly improves durability to better prevent marks and scratches throughout the round. It also produces both the soft feel and exceptional short-game spin that players seek in a high performance Tour golf ball.

    S-TECH CORE

The proprietary core is an optimal combination of low compression and high resilience. This combination provides extremely soft feel off the clubface with exceptional ball speeds that maximize distance for players with moderate swing speeds. The s-Tech Core is surrounded by a firm, thin mantle layer that provides excellent resilience without making the ball feel harder. It’s designed to maximize ball speed without generating high spin off the tee, providing the best combination for long distance.

Dimples, Cover, Core - none of the above applies to virtual software balls I'm afraid.

The announcement of "similar" doesn't say "better", and "same price" doesn't point to improvement either. It wakes all my paranoid nerves.

Remember the implementation of the ATV wedges. replacing the Z Satins? That was even worse, lower quality for double price :(

Another concerned cally s user here... its the only ball I've used regularly since its release. I'm not sure if I want to stock up on the old balls now, or regret doing so when the new ones come out. Given that they are going to be the same price, I imagine the differences will be minimal, but I'm planning for the worst. As long as durabilitity goes up (or stays the same) rather than down I'm content... wishful thinking me thinks : ^)

I've just bought 4 sleeves and I use my own cash as I don't get surveys and I'm not willing to watch videos for near slave levels of payment.  If the 'new' ball is better no loss as I'll still be using the balls I'm used to, and if it's worse (or more worryingly, different) then I'll have a stock to hopefully get me through while I work out the new distances etc.

Well, WGT are always telling us that they try to make the game as real to life as possible. If that is the case, then the durability should go up on the new Callys. Lets hope so.

Yep it is a worry, you spend ages getting to know the exact attributes of the ball, and then they are swiped from under your feet. Even a small difference can make a noticible difference in yardages.

Not that it concerns me, as I don't bother playing now, but do, oops did know the Cally well.

There you have the reason why I refuse to pay a single penny out of my own pocket: Every once in a while WGT will tweak you out of your equipment.

WGT...bunch of criminals if you ask me. No trustworthiness AT ALL.

Did any one take a look at the test alpha build PP came out with on July 20th, so, only a week ago ?

PP looks great....  but don't get fooled until it's up and running.. in full operation... then we can see how it goes.

Sadly if I did not put my money into the game I would still have crap equipment as there are no options of getting free credits here except the 7 daily video carousel views - and that does not add up to much - 75cr every two weeks is a long slog to nowhere. But do I regret it? No, as overall it is a great game..

So I cannot call WGT criminals, they are a business, but a sadly a business that seldom listens to their customers, or if they do, seldom communicate with them. I suppose the longer you play the more noticible some issues are, and this is the sole reason I am not playing, bar 1 hole a day (why I bother to do that is actually beyond me lol). And until these issues are addressed then I won't be putting another penny into this game. Trust and respect are earned, they are not handed out on a silver platter.

Whether or not PP gets up and running, I don't know, and there is no certainty that it too would not have major problems.
