    1. Which balls are you addressing?

    2. In what way are they different?

This description makes it seem like the new Hex chromes are better.....

But the dots are the same lol..

WGT has upgraded all the Callaway Tour balls to the latest Callaway HEX Chrome balls. These new balls have similar top-performance, with more distance, control, or a slower WGT swing meter, in Standard and Vapor Trail options, and are available at the same price as the original balls.

Visit the WGT Pro Shop to see the entire HEX Chrome line, including the following:

    • Callaway HEX Chrome Balls with more control - start unlocking at Level 33 and Legend
    • Callaway HEX Chrome+ Balls with more distance - start unlocking at Level 35 and Legend
    • Callaway HEX Chrome+ Balls with a slower swing meter - unlock at Level 1 and Level 34

    No. Identical performance.

I noticed a big difference between using my normal level 11+ Srixion Z-Star balls and using the Callaway Hex Chrome Level 33+ balls. Here are the differences.

    1) Callaways seem to have a shorter distance. Seems like they are 5-7 yards shorter then the Srixion balls.

    2) Meter is a lot faster then the Srixions. At times they are almost like the free ones in meter speed.

    3) They come up short 2-5 inches from the hole. Even with the proper force used on the meter back swing.

Could it be the feel rating? You lose some attributes else where on them to get that smoother meter? Maybe

But I'm sticking with my favorites: Srixion Z-Star level 11+ balls.

I have these dialed in, with the Callaway's it seemed much harder to get use to them and dial them in.

Oh well 250 credits per sleeve lost is better then 500 credits per sleeve lost; suppose.

Over what period of time? Give that same effort to using the Callaways and I'd bet the extra 70 credits in cost wouldn't be an issue (not sure where 500 fits here.) The 2 balls are very different with the Callaway being far superior.

As for the feel rating, by the specs the Callaway is 1/2 dot slower but you have to be careful when you're looking at 1/2 dot changes. This usually means "subtle" as in you don't notice a huge difference. It's a timing thing you have to get used to. Going to a full dot or more of a change will be a real obvious difference.

The key is you have your setup dialed in-that's what counts.  ;-)
