Once again why spend all that money just to change the name, there has to be some extra performance  somewhere. I'm sure Callaway said " hey lets  spend XXXX amount of money and change the name of our ball"

I didn't see that...and wouldn't have known to look for that. A note on the product page about the change would have been better than a forum post. I was unknowingly down to my last Cally i(z) ball and, of course, hit it OB during a single play tourney. I tried to suck it up and finish with the starter ball, but I quickly found I can't hit the broad side of a barn with those things.

Seems kinda pointless to offer a "replacement" ball with the same exact performance and pricing. I wanna say I see a slight decrease in meter speed, but that may well be from the last update.

Name change aside, this is the best ball I've tried to date and I'll be playing it until the 4 dot feel spin Nike becomes available to me later.

I quit jumping from ball to ball & settled on the 'old' Cally 33 about 4 months ago.  I had my irons & wedges pretty well tuned in with them.  Have been playing the 33 Hex for 3 days and LOVE THEM.  They may have the same dot parameters as the old ones, but they play better for me. Both iron and wedge performance has been consistent and  I seem to have a little better control over short range shots.

Not happy with the Callaway ball change to Hex from i(z) The level 55+ Hex Vapor has dropped a half dot of durability from the Lev 55 Tour i(z) vapor. Both cost 325 credits.

But I'm sticking with my favorites: Srixion Z-Star level 11+ balls.

I have these dialed in, with the Callaway's it seemed much harder to get use to them and dial them in.

I am using the Srixion lvl 11 balls at the moment, mainly because I am not playing very seriously (just a single half round a day to get the daily bonus) to eventually get to level 90 and get my R11s. I find them a decent ball and very good value.

The 250cr Callys are the balls I used most often and find them very good performance wise and can afford them without actually having to spend money (the videos and occasional survey).

The Callys have a higher feel rating so *should* be slower than the Srixons. They also seem to go a shade further off the tee - which is rather needed from the Legend tee.

Srixon have a lower spin rating but I have been getting some extremely annoying auto-backspin with my Cleavelands (more than I get with Callys) yet they don't stop as well with flops and iron shots as the Callys which is strange.

Both these balls are the best value imo.

They both last a good long time (as long as you don't lose them) and it's possible to post good scores with them. I find the Callyaways to be 1-2 shots better over 9 for me.

I would welcome the Legend only Callaways to actually have the same durability as the standard ones.

There appears to be something wrong with my Hex, the first time I tried hitting one I got an error message saying  +++out of cheese

Could it be I need some new ants?

I used the level 37 Calloway vapor and the Hex that replaced it plays like crap at times... oh, sorry I play like crap at times, no difference I find in the balls, lol

it really comes down to your club attributes and how a ball reacts to them, find one that works for you !
