anyone else feeling significant reduction in R1's forgiveness?

  that thing used to glue the ball on to the fairway, now...it feels more like the R11,
  when you miss it into the wind on crosswinds, rais your hands if you didn't see that coming.
  
  guess I was hoping for a longer grace period
  before they butcher it.. sigh..

  Ball goes exactly where I hit it with mine. Works better today than it did when I bought it.  Whatever in the world makes you think WGT would put a grace period on how a club performs? If it doesn't work today like it did when you bought it, that's on you.

  The only time I miss a fairway is if I miss the ding by a wide margin or,the ball flies much farther than I expected.   The only other times I miss a fairway is when I go brain dead and don't move the aim arrow from off the rough. You know there are a few holes like # 14 at St. Andrews where the default aim if not moved the ball will end up in the rough or fescue.  It is still as forgiving as always.  

  One thing, with the update this week you certainly need to clear your cache for everything to work as it should.

  Hi gmaster ive got the same driver as you ,forgiveness on my driver is gone as you say if you miss the ding you of the fairway,and it was great before last update

  Edit: You guys all have the L98 driver not us,we have the L93

  My lvl 93 R1 works great, especially after the update, meter slowed down, hit the ding almost every time.  Like YJ said works better now than when I bought it.

  Which means we've been swinging it for a while and the change in forgiveness you think you see is nothing more than you getting used to how much it actually forgives and getting lazy about the aim. I do the same thing and I guarantee you it's not the driver, level 93 or level 98 version.

  The R1 is not about long- it's a very accurate driver with a different loft than the R11s and it behaves differently and until you learn that over the course of many rounds, blaming perceived changes in what you bought is just not the way to go. Swing it and learn it.

  when you MISS the ding, BADLY. big difference.
  also talking about BLACK R1.

  I've hit some terrible shots and got saved by the R1
  when I first got it, now, that doesn't seem to happen anymore on bad shots.
  when I miss it towards the crosswind, even by a little, it will go in the rough
  almost every time, that didn't happen before.

  Think YankeeJim may have it in 1.  I came straight off the basic R11..........I was never level enough for the R11S so admittedly that must be in mind.

  The black R1 beats the R11 hands down, and is as forgiving as the day I got it IMHO.  Compared to the R11 MP and A/S is just plain more fun as well when everyone else I played with seemed to have at least the R11S or R1.....

  then it must  be  me  allucinating again ,i used to miss the ding just a bit  no prob(forgiveness)  ,,,,since last up date ,  i miss the ding by a little  and  i miss some Fairway  many actualy......            i have also the RI level 98............             there is not supose to be any difference between the Black and the White ,if you compaire them in the pro shop!....Then  again what do i know  ?   Must be a hard period i am experiencing.......I will ajust  and be patient,   only thing left to do .        Have a good WGT golf day.:)    Frapp.    Maybee like my friend said  Frank  you 62 tommorow  dont expect to play like a 20 year old kid  ..lollll                    First EDIT      ,,,  forget what i said  most of been   hungover lollll    every thing is fine  ,,,,,
