Ok so i am approaching R11 irons slowly, just a level and a little bit to go before the upgrade, and i have been looking at replays and vids of people who use them.

My question is this. Are the bladez affected by wind more then the r11's. Say i have an 8 mile an hour cross wind,  i am aiming half a green away with the bladez to get it to land in line with the pin, but i notice in replays for the r11's, that they seem to need on a fraction of that amount.

R11s fly slightly higher, so are affected slightly more. But hardly enough difference to notice. Remember when watching replays you can't tell if someone has miss-dinged deliberately to reduce the effect of the wind.

    ^^^  agree

i'd say the R11's are slightly more affected by wind on dinged shots .. the trajectories are pretty close, but the R11's produce slightly more spin and therefore a tad more wind affected ..

holds up a bit more also in head- & tail winds using backspin

Guess more spin will produce more effect.  On dinged shots I would not be too concerned on any difference.

The Bladez were a pig if I missed the ding with the wind I found.  Their lack of forgiveness was the only drawback I found.  Still a very good set and only just second to the R11's

OK - then if we already have Bladez we should forget buying R11s - or is there enough difference to make it worth while?

TM tees HL G20s are cream IMO. Most good quality Legends find the L90 R11 irons cream.............

I'm finding no issues with the Bladez not being forgiving. Playing the Bladez with the distance legend Callaway ball. Unless I really miss the ding big time, the Bladez end up on the green, usually close to the hole.

The Bladez are no less forgiving than the L59 G20

I progressed through this route , and I personally would do it over again , the difference between the bladez and R11's I found justifiable.

I too use the bladez......and I just unlocked the r11's yesterday.....I have been asking myself the same questions....To me when I play with others that use the r11 3 iron 225 yards its stops on a dime!!! Bladez 3 iron does not stop that quickly...I still dont see a def answer here! Are the r11's a no  brainer here? Can your score be lowered any by switching from bladez to r11's? Thanks todd "gooba823"

    IMO - YES!

Won't be some night and day difference in MP but overall yes.
