    One of the best rounds of WGT I've played.  Maybe not better than my 31 at St Andrews Front 9 in the Tour Pro tier recently, but pretty close and also arguably more interesting.

    It's like trying to fight a bull bare-handed.  Crazy idea, but I did it anyway, and I almost won the fight too... got off to a lightning fast start but then the course fought back hard;

    And just to prove that I was using starters;

    Hole by hole:

    1st: Drilled a 3-wood to inside 4 feet for an easy opening birdie.

    2nd: Nearly underhit the 11 foot putt after a well-gauged approach, but it just managed to trickle in.

    3rd: 3-wood to 11 feet, and again I make the putt to go -3.

    4th: 2nd shot ends up in the rough, 3rd shot overshoots the easy pin location, putt from the back fairway is well short but I save the par.

    5th: Forced lay-up, not a great wedge shot, bogey.

    6th: 3-iron approach, routine par.

    7th: See 5th hole.

    8th: 3-wood overshoots the pin, 2-putt from the fringe.

    9th: Forced lay-up, but this time I manage to save par.

    10th: Yet another forced lay-up and yet another bogey.

    11th: 3-wood approach shot ends up in the bunker but the 9 foot par putt goes in.

    12th: Forced lay-up, saved par.

    13th: The 6-iron approach shot on this par 5 comes up short and I have to settle for par.

    14th: Conservative 4-iron shot leads to a routine par.

    15th: Forced lay-up, unlucky SW approach.  It bounced exactly where I wanted it to bounce, but I was left with this;

    http://www.wgt.com/gameclient.aspx?view=showReplay&JSON=%257B%2522GUID%2522%253A%2522c50299d7-d589-4b41-af84-a2200083290b%2522%252C%2522Brand%2522%253A%2522%2522%257D

    Fortunately saved bogey from there by sinking the breaking 6 footer I was left with.

    16th: 3-wood comes up 30 yards short of the pin, but a great flop shot gives me a tap-in for par.

    17th: Hit 3-wood and hoped for the best.  Ball came to rest at the back of the green and I 2-putted from there.

    18th: Slightly choked 5-iron approach, ball bounces exactly where I wanted it to, but it rolls further than I'd hoped and ends up in the back fringe.  2-putts from there and I finish +1 for the round.

    Not the best round of WGT you'll see or hear about by any means, and there is a huge asterisk on it since I believe it was a no wind tourney, but it felt good to come so close to par over 18 holes, even with the handicap of using starters...

    Actually I reckon you could beat my starter clubs score in the conditions I was playing in, considering the fact that you are in the Legend Tier which implies that you've played a lot of great rounds in the past to get there.  Maybe you wouldn't beat my score on the first attempt, but I know it's more than possible for a good player, considering the fact that I gave away at least a couple of strokes with less than stellar approach shots.
