    Hi all,

First time poster here looking for some equipment/product advice.

I'm currently a pro at level 27, approaching 400 credits.  I have not bought a single item yet, not even a set of balls, so i'm wondering where to start.

I do mostly 9-hole stroke or blitz play.  My game is pretty consistent all around.  I could use some more distance on my drives, but control is not an issue.  My putting is pretty solid but I miss a good number of 5-10 footers.  My wedge game could use some work.

As far as credits go, i'm not paying for any, so i'm limited to what I can get through surveys/videos.

With that said, should I go with a 400 credit putter?

A 250 cr. driver, some new balls and a 100 cr. wedge.

    A 250 cr. driver and a 200 cr. wedge?

I would appreciate any and all suggestions.  What do you all consider to be the best first investment?

I think if I had it to do over I would have saved my credits until level 59 and bought the full set of G20's  for clubs. I bought the ghost spider at level 35 and I am happy with it. For the wedges I have found the level 41& 42 ping tour-w to be the best bang for the buck. I have a couple of TM lvl 39 ATV's but prefer the Pings.

Save your credits - buy nothing before the lvl41 Ping wedges, unless...

    a decent 3WD (lvl 30ish R11?) will be a good and cost-effective replacement of a driver.

Don't waste money on balls just now either.

well..   i agree with other's ... and say save yer creds ... and work on leveling up..

BUT ..     for ... 100 creds... u can get a cheep but much better driver  ..and when used with the 65 cred ...WGT tour SD ball ....  u will enjoy the game  ALOT more ...

like others say...there is alot to learn.... so u can play this combo ...add a wedge or so ... all the way to MASTER ... u will 4 sure need a better driver then...

the R11  set at level 32 is nice... an you can go a long way with it.... altho once u get to master ... a higher trajectory iron works better... like the G20's .at level 59..

    have funn... hit em good...

    peace  :)_~~

I think a driver upgrade, and a decent putter are the first things to upgrade at your level, the 250 credit wgt driver is great value, took me to master, then the 400 credit spyder putter which I still use, and a cheap upgrade for irons is the 49 credit wgt set much better than the starter irons, and a slow meter, so even the 10 credit B-XD balls are fairly controllable, this is just a personal opinion, hope it helps happy swinging.

I second the comments in bold.

WGT's Pro 250cred driver is enough to last you til Master. And the Starter Plus Irons too, great bargain for the money (that is, up until Master upon which they seemingly 'magically' start to decline in performance for me)

As another person that's been struggling at level 49. Filled out some surveys got the Pro 250 cred driver and the Spyder 400 putter (my putts have been abysmal). Don't have the creds to get a decent iron set yet...but, hope to place in some tourneys to earn 'em. Thanks for the input......See ya on the courses!

I may be the only one, but I would suggest the Snake-eye wedges @ $1.00 each. They really helped my short game, and I still use the 685BX to dial in on CTTH comps. Good luck.

    Doc :)

I agree, wedges are a good way to go. Alternatively, there's also the 2 Level18 Pings at 110creds each.

Although I wouldn't recommend putters as an early choice for a club upgrade because the starter putter is surprisingly very, very reliable (though at some point one does need the upgrade, but the other clubs have more priority IMO), but to each his own.
