  Wow, what a race this is turning out to be.

  SmoothSwinger and the Southeast have already secured their spot in the NAC Championship , but who will be joining them looks like it won't be decided until the very last minute!

  As it stands right now, the Internationals are holding on to 2nd by 8 strokes over a Pacific team who is trying to mount a last minute comeback.   CaptainCouples & salamii will need to shoot a combined 130 (a 67 & 63) to advance their team to the final round!  The International team holds the tiebreaker advantage if the scores end up even, so the Pacific region must pull ahead to move on!  Will CaptainCouples & salamii be able to turn the tide and pull the upset?

  We'll find out in the next few hours!  Drama!  :-D

  Bah, looks like my math was off a little above.  It's fixed now.

  salamii has posted a 67 and the Pacific team is now poised to overtake the International squad.  They sit 5 strokes behind, but the 5th place Pacific score is currently a (-3) 69.  CaptainCouples will need a (-9) 63 to make up the 6 strokes necessary in order for the Pacific to advance.

  The Pacific captain has his team's fate resting squarely on his shoulders.  How will it unfold?

  Playoff Meet #2 Wrap-up :

  -  The Southeast Region has reached the finals by posting a season record low of 312 (-48) !  Low scores all over the board as team effort powers SmoothSwinger's group into the championship meet!  Congratulations!

  -  The International Region fends off an 11th hour elimination once again.  Their combined score of 320 (-40) was just enough to earn coolswing and the regular season champions an epic final showdown with the Southeast on Bethpage Black!

  -  Unfortunately, this is the part where we have to say goodbye to another team.  The Pacific Region made a valiant last minute charge with the team posting a combined score of  325 (-35) including an NAC individual record 59 (-13) by gitthe , but the effort came up just short and they'll be heading home this week.  Congratulations to the Pacific Region on a well played season and a good showing overall.  Thank you to all of the players!

  Thanks so much Niv for putting this awesome event together.  Sign of things to come I hope.  I am very proud of all the Team Pacific players.  Some really tough competitors and wonderful people.

  Best of luck to Team Internation and Team SE!  Pretty heavy hitters there.  I will be watching to see how it all plays out.

  Great start to the finals.  Looks like everyone is gunnin for the win.  Good luck again to everyone.

  No matter the outcome, this was a blast. Thanks to nivlac for running the show and thanks to everyone on Team Southeast!!! Let's finish this off and give the Internationals a taste of what the Ryder Cup will be like!   ;)
