I'm actually not a big fan of this R1 driver, I may even buy R11S as a complement if no better options come out. Reason? Low trajectory - it's very hard to make it go 275-280 yds and stop, particularly with a small tail wind, e.g. Kiawah 2nd / Best of Par 5 1st from master tees.

R11 or even G20 drivers aren't much worse either, just little a bit...

Yes, but sometimes, especially when playing from baby tees, trajectory and stopping power is more important...

A good 3 wood is needed there, always nice to have that extra firepower so to speak for the par 5's and nothing beats the R1 , though the R11S is mighty close.

One thing worth practicing is punching that driver. It may not give you all you want, but it will give you a few more options. Punch distance is 250 yards + (-/+ for wind, spin and different holes). I find it works well off legend tees for Hole 11 at Merion for example.

I prefer the Max slow meter +91.

That forgiveness & meter speed will make the difference, I think.

I'll buy it tomorrow, when I reach level 91.

    SLDR is an excellent Driver.

    Level 90 Legend also.

Read the SPECS between the two drivers.  I prefer a slow meter also.

SLDR is a half-ball better when it comes to Precision.

With the slow meter of the SLDR it is hard to miss the ding.

I realize that the MAX has even a slower meter, but took the extra precision instead.

please skip the manipulation. I love to golf on here. I love golf! I don't care about cheaters and people with this graph an that chart...they always will? I play straight up guessing and learning as I go. I do not like fake winds and other bs that I have seen WGT has done. Keep it real man :) wind is wind-right? So I have spent hundreds of hours and dollars and I just want it to be golf :) not tricky bull  for computer gamers-they go play dungeons and dragons- lets keep it golf period. thank you Ro
