That looks nice, I think I'll get the credit purse out. A bit annoying that the Max irons start at 215 yards though.

    I EFFING CALLED IT!

Looks like it's an R1-lite with a bit less distance, but a lower level requirement and a high trajectory.  Apparently the description says you get more distance on mishits so you can deliberately hit a draw or fade?

I bought the Driver and the new Max 3 wood, I'll have to think about the irons though as not only are they short on distance but they are a silly price too. Mind you the meter speed looks enticing.

That's what we call a trade-off; Do you want more distance and spin, or do you want to be able to easily ding every shot?

The Taylor made is  much more forgiving on the high level driver compared to the R11 so might be worth the extra credits, but the low level driver which i could buy is exactly identical to the R11 but for 300 credits more.

so if anyone has played the SLDR i'd just like to know whether the trajectory is similar to that of the R11D .. the nice thing for me on the R11D is the high trajectory which sometimes results in me outdriving even the R1 with RZN Nike's ..

    pity it hasn't got a 12pm mtr ..

EDIT: never mind .. picked it up .. now i know what the guys with the R11s felt like when that 1st came out .. same trajectory as R11D, same distance, plenty forgiveness .. this'll up my FIR .. difficult to miss with this .. R11D obsolete now which is a pity .. that nervous feeling when teeing off with R11D is actually how it should be .. not that i'm complaining .. R11s might also be less of an issue now ? still prefer the 12pm mtr on drivers though

Have you tried to hit an intentional slice or hook yet chris?  That's what I'm interested in right now because of the pro shop description...

I just upgraded from the R11 to this.  That extra forgiveness should help me a ton.  I don't normally feel too bad with my R11 off the tee, but there are some tee shots that really terrified me.

Nothing beats the R9 I used to have.  That was terrifying even on the widest  fairways.

Well I was planning on waiting until level 94 to upgrade my driver, but now that this club has been released I'll have to give it some serious consideration.  Still have a long ways to go before I hit level 89 though.

It seems to perform better into a wind that the R11. Like the R9 did.
