Wow, the abundance of high quality drivers is getting crazy, surely making many people perplexed about what to choose...

If anyone tried it, how does it compare with R11S? 2 meters less don't seem significant, but is the trajectory as high as R11S or rather "G20 high"? Other parameters seem better (meter, forgiveness).

I'm looking for the most appropriate complement to R1 which has a major problem of not stopping well at 275-280 meters...

i had the lvl 81 G20 driver, it was good, now i have the SLDR, it is a bit longer on most drives, and more forgiving if you miss the ding. but the precision is not as advertised, ive had more WTF drives hitting the ding than i had with the G20(quite precise)

Try using almost full backspin, and you'll be pleasantly surprised at the stopping power and distance of this great club.

What do you think I was using in that case? forward spin? ;)

With full BS R1 still doesn't stop well at such distance (~275 yds). When playing Best of Par 5 from baby tees a while ago, got many drives into the rough @ hole 1 (Kiawah hole 2), hence spoiling chances for an eagle...

Lower trajectory means more roll out, you can't have longer distance without some kind of disadvantage unless you put glue on the ball. I've found the SLDR to be great club, I'd never have tiered up without it.

I would just like to know where the 4.5 dots of precision i paid for and the four dots of forgivness.

Playing the no wind 18 hole weekly and if i hit ding the ball is not going where i aim and if i miss the ding I am going like 10 yards off line out into the rough. I feel like i am playing with the R11 that costs about 600 credits  less. This happens now and again but more frequently it seems to me and yes i cleard cache after maintenance

You're playing well and scoring well, so if VEM works in the way everyone here thinks it does then your deviation is being algorithmically increased as you improve.

As a benchmark, the R11s 3wd has 4.5 dots of precision yet a ding can go up to 9 yards off line in no wind for me. Accept that this is the way it is, deal with it, and then you have an advantage over those that quit as soon as they get a deviated shot.

Ill take your word on this, i certainly don't feel like it the last week or so. I get VEM and how it works and I am not one come on here crying all about it. It is there you play through it best you can and sometimes you can shoot low because of it and other times not.

Guess we will see how it goes
