Would it be better to use a higher rated spin ball and go with the Max set over the R11 iron set.

Plus the slower meter one would think going based on the DOTS the MAX is superior.

    Any thoughts ?

The Max set are way behind the R11 in terms of performance and distance but  the R11's have a fast meter. It all depends on what you can handle the best.

Looked into it, the problem l see personally is the 3 iron is rated at 215 compared to the R11 at 225!

Thats quite a gap to bridge between the 3 iron and 3 wood, a total of 25 yds, possibly forcing you to use or purchase a hybrid leaving you only 2 wedges as apposed to 3 with the R11.

O.k people will say choke down on the 3 wood if needed, personally you would need the clubs 'dialled' in and the confidence to achieve the 'tricky' shots you sometimes have over water etc when your Max 215 three iron isn't enough to reach.

Thats my thought for the day, no doubt some folk will disagree.

    Good thread already for it.

Can't disagree with anything above in this thread.

For me I will stick with the L90 R11 set for the greater potential - as I perceive for me right or wrong. Having the choice is good though!
