Hello guys, I have around 527 cr now and is looking for a new driver. I have just completed the 18 hole single play for the week and is leading by a stroke. I also finished the 9-hole unlimited play and shot 29(lucky) to lead by 2. So I am expecting some 200 cr just from those 2 tourneys in around a week, I also will get 133 cr for my 14th placement in last week's michelin and some more credits from surveys and RG. So that rounds up to around 1200 credits if i do 1 survey.

I am thinking getting a good driver of 260-275 something yards, the price can range from 1200-1700, because i will eventually earn some more credits. Don't worry about the levels as I will try to level up as quick as possible and I can bear the wait. Just give me some suggestions for drivers that worth the value or the best valued ones you think.

Good luck and make birdies, Albert778

That's some great results for a beginner, hitting a 33 on your second scored round is truly unbelievable.

lvl 48 R1, then you'll see the creds roll in.

At your current level, I would say the Callaway X Hot is the best driver available.  I have never used this club personally, I just based my recommendation on what I feel is the best combination of distance, meter speed, and forgiveness.

Another option - which is the option that I chose after joining WGT- is to keep saving all your credits, wait until level 48, and purchase the Taylor Made R1.  Yes, level 48 is a little ways away for you. And yes, this driver is incredibly expensive.  On the other hand, after I purchased this club it truly was a 'game changer' for me.  I'd say 8 out of every 10 Par 4's are now reachable in two, unless there is a stiff head wind on some of the longer Par 4 holes like at Congressional, Olympic, and Bethpage.  Once you get a better 3 wood, then some Par 5's will be reachable in two as well - although sometimes you'll need a good tailwind boost to get it there, and holding the green once you get there is a whole other matter.  Additionally, if you purchase the R1 at level 48, in my opinion there is not a better driver available until level 81 unlocks the Ping G20, so I feel like the R1 has the greatest 'long term' value.

So, in summary, I'd rank your options as follows:

    1. Taylor Made R1 (Level 48) **if you can afford it**

    2. Nike Covert at Level 50 if you can't affort the R1

    3. Callaway X Hot at level 31 if you don't want to wait until level 48 or 50

The Taylor Made SLDR and the Ping K15 are two more options to consider, but it looks like your current driver is already at 245 so I'm not sure if the minimal distance increase is enough to justify the cost.  Its fine to ask for opinions on the forum, but ultimately I think you should choose the driver with the combination of meter speed, distance, and forgiveness that you feel most comfortable with.  Good Luck.

Are you telling us that you are that good with beginners' gear?

Why is it I think that you have better equipment in your inventory than you are asking for here?

Why is it the first words coming into my mind begin with mul-, san- and che-?

Why do I think of a shtick to provoke some charity?

    I agree.

Above all, that 1.62 in putting is not possible. The normal average for a newbie is more than 2 puts per hole.

They're very similar to my own, which are nothing to write home about for a Legend, but pretty impressive for a newcomer. Maybe the guy is a natural ?
