    Why do they list how much people have won? Is there a way to get cash from playing this game?

    The earnings you see are the credit equivalent.

    $1=100cr

    There are things that can be purchased in the pro shop besides the virtual equipment that is offered including rounds of golf at several courses. Besides, having your name listed as a top player is priceless.

    DAZZA501:

    $1=100cr is one correct conversion rate, but only in this direction.
    Pay 1 $, get 100 crs.

    IMHO, posting the earnings in $$ is a misleading swindle, since the inverse conversion necessary for that is incompatible with the T&C:

    WGT Credits do not have monetary value

    Thus, 100crs != 1$.

    Don't mix them up!

    I've read that they USED to mean something. In that you USED to be able to turn those earnings into actual dollars. However, not any more. It's become a useless stat.

    There used to be an option in the Pro Shop to buy "money", i.e. gift cards from different shops. Alas, the conversion rate was mostly 6:1, a 500 $ gift card costing 300,000 crs.

    Same rate applied to the former top item, a Maserati (yes, a real sports car). The price tag showed 70,000,000 crs ("value" 700,000 $), while the car was offered in Maserati shops in the 150,000 $ range.

    Both were dropped at the beginning of 2013.

    AFAIR, the current low-level items in the Elite section (caps etc.) still have an approx. conversion rate of 6:1, "top item" is the custom avatar with unknown design options.

    Not the only 1. Win 100cr, get $1 on your earnings. I don't purchase credits, i win them.
