I'm sure if I searched hard enough I could find this here somewhere.. Maybe someone could point me to the proper post or FAQ?

When I have a straight line to the hole.. I can do pretty well.. My problem is if I am going over water.. sand, or some other obstacle my shots always fall short. I understand the total length of the club is air+roll... but is there a way to find out how much air vs roll on each club?  I obviously need to use a longer club in these situations.. but not sure how to figure out which step up I need. Hope this makes sense..

    Thanks in Advance

I'm sure you're accounting for elevation change and wind?

You can play a practice round, wait until you hit a good hole with a nice flat fairway and little wind, then use the mulligan feature and take notes on every club.

The air & roll ratio depends on the clubs, more specifically on their trajectory. You're level 55, at lvl 59 (88.500 XPs) the first "high" clubs will be available, Ping G20.

Another good upgrade would be a short wedge replacing the Starter LW, perhaps a lvl 38 ATV?

    Have a look!

Thanks for all of the input. I will get out and do some practice rounds and take notes! As for the wedge.. I have the ATV 54 degree in my bag.. it's quite a useful club. Is that the club you were referring to Alosso? I think it's the level 38.. not sure how to figure that out..

I will have to save some shekels up for the G20's.. or is it better to wait and get an even better "high" club a bit later on? I can't keep spending money on a club.. get to another level and step up.. It would be better for me to make one large step (You don't get anything back selling the old ones in my experience.

    Thanks Again

To see this, go to your profile or the game window and hover over the club's display.

You have a level18 ATV of 85 yds, and the 52° Ping (lvl 41) which shoots 100 yds.
I suspect that the Ping punches to about 85 yds which makes the ATV redundant, and it's low level suggests low-level characteristics.

General goals are evenly spaced wedges (replacing the hybrid with a third one at due time) and good spinning/stopping quality also with the longer wedges. Furtheron, a short wedge for short game close to the green.

Unfortunately, the spacing of the lvl 41/42 Pings makes the decision difficult.
64° (60 yds) and 60° (75 yds) may be a choice, or the lvl 39, 64° ATV of 50 yds instead of the former. An economical step for now might be the 64° Ping (60 yds) replacing the ATV. Their combined 100 / (85) / 60 / 50(?) yds spacing would be quite good. Later, some high level Clevelands of 100 and 80 yds might be the final buys.

About the irons, IMHO there isn't much better coming for some time after the G20 @88.500 XPs. Lvl68 RBZ (hardly mentioned here) are at 130.000 XPs, the good RBZ at lvl79 / 200.000 XPs. Level 83 for the better Pings is 255.000 XPs.
Big steps, and the choice is yours.
