Ball lie %

  Sometimes when in the rough I see 30-40% on the lie

  What does that translate to, because it surely isnt a modifier that is consistent (i often hit balls that say 30-40%  to 80% of club distances

  To quote Ms Fish, it's the percentage of the ball that is covered by the rough. It's not a guide as to how much harder you need to hit the ball to achieve the required distance.

  Scott, been away for a bit so decided to see if I could still post replays etc  and the link on my messages says you took it off from u - tube.....wasn't re enforced in my head so I'm lost again :((

  And to the OP  it depends on whether 1st o 2nd cut......around greens at 30/40 go for + 4yrds...40/50  +6 yrds, u won't be far away and then fine tune.... , many variations on courses and yardages.
