  i have been struggling to see the pins even wearing specks 

  merion is the worst somtimes i carnt see them at all is there a way to highlite

  the pin

  are you talking about distance? sometimes it helps me to see them from above view by removing the pin and putting it back in. it should change the graphic, so when I do it a few times, I can see exactly where it's at.

  Agreed, but what would be the impact of this fact? It's not like on a real course, where the flag is the only direct aim. Here, we have a better means to aim at than the flag itself: The blue square aim indicator. From further distances, you won't aim at the flag but at some point on the fairway, and on approach shots this indicator will be at the flag, decently moveable in the zoom or reverse views.

  Try a right click on mouse should give you a zoom in option.  I use that many times.
