Ok, I'm usually one of those players that find equipment and keep it.  I learn it and what I can do with it and how much does it help my game.  I've played the Cleveland Wedges for a long time.  Love them to death.  But I couldn't be consistent with them enough because there would be times I'd get SuperBackSpin.  If you've used them, you know what I'm saying. I changed over to the Level 91 ATV's.  The best thing so far is that 64 degree wedge.  Using it out of the sand is awesome.  Slow draw and it plops the ball almost on the pin every time.  Give it a try, I think you'll love it too.

Not too mention they are the only higher level wedges with a tad slower meter. I used the CW's for a while as well and prefer the ATV's and IMO they just outperform the CW's from all different types of lies.

I love them.  I'm still learning how to flop.  But I did get an Eagle just now on a pitch from 17 yards.  And barely missed another from 12.  I think I made a very good choice.  Plus I don't have to worry about a backspin that goes 38 yards in the wrong direction!  As embarrassing as it is, I've done it three times so far!

Hehehe yeah I never could get used to the Backspin with the CW's. You need to use Topspin with those clubs if you use a high rated spin ball :(

My short game has improved since switching to the ATV's a couple of months ago.

I'd advise players to start with the low level ATV's and then you'll never change. Sure you can do cute tricks with the Clevelands but they just aren't as accurate.

    Interesting post.

I've used the Clevelands ever since I was eligible to get them. I only chose them because at that time people were saying how good they were. I've just stuck with them. You tend not to know if any other clubs are better until you try them. When is the next free rental?

You can't use backspin on Clevelands, I've learnt that from experience. I can do a good flop shot with them. Full swing into the green can be a case of juding the wind and the distance and how much of a swing I take. I can't hit it longer and add backspin. Topspin is okay to roll the ball on further.

I've spent so longer with the Clevelands I'am worried about changing clubs, especially as I'm struggling as a Legend at the moment. However, I might take the risk, it might be to my advantage.

If you can get those wedge shots just a yard closer you'll probably save 3 shots a round. They're well worth trying.

l was thinking the same, got the 3 Clevelands but the backspin can be savage sometimes, dont know how many times l've hit what l think is a stone dead shot only to see it spin back, sometimes out of birdie range.

Bought the 50yd ATV last week and liking it, might have to purchase the others i think!!

I hear what you are saying, courteney.

I've had that happen many times, andwhy67. They are unpredictable. I only have confidence in them when playing a flop shot, then I can get the ball to stop dead.

You seem to like your new wedge after only a week. That sounds promising, because new clubs normaly take a while to get use to. I'am being more convinced that I should try.
