With the 64 Cleveland Jason, a full backspin pitch is a nice little shot too. Nicknamed a 'hop 'n' stop', it's a very effective 15-20 yard shot.

Plenty of replays on my profile page to back that claim up too.

Hey Jason...I couldn't survive without the punch shot. I have used it from a punch driver on St. Andys # 1, downwind, to keep it dry and use the punch with every other club depending on wind, conditions and lie. It is handy in all rough varieties and superb from a perfect lie. It doesn't go as low as advertised but can provide more run on certain shots. With the shorter shots, ie wedges, it will fly pretty high and respond very well to full-neutral-top spinning applications.

I agree with the above, having the punch option is like having an extra set of clubs.

    Thanks for the advice, guys.

I've started playing a few punch shots and the ones that I have played got close to the hole. I'll keep trying them.

Sure you can do cute tricks with the Clevelands but they just aren't as accurate.

Have to disagree! I play with all 3 Cleveland wedges & can get a heartbeat almost every time from the fairway.....(only wish i could putt better.:)..)

......Unbeatable with the flop shot & from 40/50 rough a must !

......besides, ASK & check out any of the top gun's profile page & you will see that almost all of them use the clevelands...

    my opinion........

Just my opinion here, but I think the high level ATV's are the best wedges available.

The ATV wedges are: 56 degree @ L86, the 60 @ L87 and the 64 @ L89. I purchased all three a couple of weeks ago, and have zero desire, or reason, to consider the Cleveland option.

    They must be good, Sweetie.

I'm still practising my punch shots with the Clevelands before I decide whether it's worth the cost to change.

One look at the leader board of money soon tells that it really gets personal and fraction's are tiny.  Both score very well in the right hands.
