yes they are pricey but they are high level and most people at those levels have been around for awhile and in order to do that are one of two people
1. they are really good and earn a lot of credits and are loaded with credits, maybe even in the hundreds of thousands and have absolutely nothing to spend them on. In which case, WGT already made their money on them long ago via the entry fees from other people who bought credits to either do challenge matches against those folks or RGs. Dropping 4K credits is a few days of RG activity for those people and having that extra .5-1 dot of precision is worth it and will only make them even better
2. If they don't play and win a bunch of credits and are still here by level 94/96 then they already spend a boat load of money on this game and are obviously ok with it, so dropping another 40 bucks to have a shiny new putter really isn't that big of a deal for them.
I personally don't think WGT will make a lot of real money off this. I think more people from group 1, or those like them, who have a lot of credits are going to purchase them, so i guess it will take a bunch of stagnant credits out of circulation.
Lastly, WGT keep upping the price of stuff and people keep rushing back up to the checkout counter like a drug addicts needing their fix. Look at the R1. Everyone complained about that thing being so expensive, then the limited came out and was even more expensive and you had people playing nonstop to get to 93 to have it. So their ridiculous pricing isn't really stopping people from getting this stuff
