  I would have to concurr with Johns nomination of you Jim, I remember my early days although frought with frustrations that I shared with the community in no humble sense, Your often calm and collected posts, were a guidline for me and often contained very worthwhile content. Thanks for that.

  Dont know if you have tried it yet, but using a thumb drive as extra Ram Memory can boost older machines?

  If you can get into the BIOS of your lappy see if you can open the aperture of this card up to 128mb - there may even be the option for 256mb, but just leave it at twice your physical amount of card memory.
