I have had the lvl 77 nike putter for months and I loved it until a couple of weeks ago. I had always been an off ding putter and it worked gr8, until wgt sped up the meter and took away all forgiveness. So I have been trying to become a mostly ding putter now, but I can't make the 5-10 footers (with any break) any more, using either method. I even tryed doing a combination of both, seems the more I work at it the worse I get,  lol. Distance is no problem at all, nor the longer putts.

So which putter actually has the slowest meter?

I was looking at the lvl94 Nike, but since I can't get them to fall with the lvl 77 any more, I don't think its going to help. That pretty much only leaves the lvl70 Odyssey as far as slow meters go. Or should I just wait till wgt releases something new? It will be at least another 7-8 months before the lvl96 Odyssey will be available to me.  All opinions welcome, thx guys

Exactly the same been happening to me, short putts under 10 ft, either lip out or stop 2 or 3 inches short.

During the last free rental weekend I tried the level 70 versa and was quite impressed though took some getting used to with the higher increments, and decided it wasn't actually that much different and didn't benefit me buying it, so stuck with the nike.

Strangely as it seems , the higher level putters come out and hey presto, the lower ones start to mis-behave, coincidence?

I'm still only 1/2 way through level 94 and as yet undecided on my next step, its a hell of a lot of virtual £££'s to spend on a game in my eyes.

I am saving for the top level Versa, it's a bunch of credits I know, but the Level 77 Nike as said above appears to have run out of steam.

It just ain't what it used to be...........is that a song, lol

I have always been like this, some days they all go in, the next I can't make any - thats golf. I can't blame WGT, some days I hit the ding, others I dont. Or some days I put the ball in the right spot on the green, others they are nasty downhillers.

I also tried the Versa last free rental weekend and was good, but I could not be bothered learning a new scale. The putter I did like was the max - mainly because of the increments but hitting the ding was more of a challenge.

Personally I think I will stick with what I have, I will never be great, so no need to upgrade IMO.

Can't beat a bit of soothing jazz.

I have the Nike (Lvl77) and have been missing most putts recently. I just think I'm going through one of those periods of bad form. It's a vicious circle, when you start missing your confidence goes, and putting is all about confidence.

I've tried the Versa and it was a close call between it and the Nike. I agree, the higher increments take getting use to.I like the increments with the Nike.

I think my putting form will come back eventually. I can't get the level 94 yet. I'll just have to stick with it.

Putting is definitely swings and roundabouts, you are either hot or not.

I want the top level Versa putter too, but am waiting until the day it is putting a yellow Callaway.  ;-)

Either yellow callaway or draw/fade gets introduced.

Edit**   After running some numbers, I'm not sure even if draw/fade and yellow Callaways were introduced at the same time, would be enough for me to get it.

    Since I already have the L70 Versa (2,495 cr's) + if I got the L96 Versa (3,995 cr's)

Subtract the 624 cr's to sell back the L70 Versa and that's a total of 5,866 cr's for just one extra dot of precision.

The bottom line if you want to putt better how much is that worth to you? I took almost 2 weeks trying to decide if I wanted to buy the L96 Versa or not. I finally bit the bullet and bought it. So far it seems like a good investment for me. I had the L92 Ghost Spider and even though I only gained 1/2 dot of precision I feel the extra forgiveness and balance really help more than the extra precision. It holds the line much better on all putts but really shines on longer putts. Now if I could just learn to read the breaks a little better. Because even the best precision, forgiveness and balance won't help much if you don't read the break right. It goes where you aim it and if your aim is off the putt will be off.
