  Stick to basics first.....  the more you think of doing different things, the more trouble you will get into and get discouraged with the clubs.

  If you are using full b/spin all the time.... then just try taking some off.. Dot just off bottom

  And if youre still doubting the R11 Irons..  ( as i did too at first ) here`s a little 3Iron treat to think about,.. shot at full tilt & full backspin...  now ofcourse this is not normal use of these clubs.. normally full BS isn`t needed and will lessen distance but once you have your feel dialled in to the clubs ya tend to try crazy shots .. ( i constantly do ).. and thusly learn there limits ....  =8)

  My 8 iron is generally pretty level headed and well behaved.

  My 7 iron however.....  Twice today I had approach shots calling for 163-165 yards after allowing for wind and elevation.  Both shots were played with about half back spin and both just under full power and dinged.  One landed at 152, the other at 151 yards. 

  Bemused is a good word to sum up my reaction.
