  The first US troops were withdrawn from Vietnam.

  A day off but found this interesting.

  Ernie Els is one of the most successful golfers in the history of the game, having won more than 65 tournaments since turning professional in 1989, including two US Opens, two Open Championships, and a record seven World Matchplay titles. The international scope of Ernie's victories is second to none. He is one of golf’s truly global players. Ernie was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame in 2011.

  Ernie was born in South Africa on 17th October 1969.

  October '69.

  Sad month for me - didn't even realise it at the time.

  Little did I know that a couple of decades later all decision making would be out of my hands and that I'd never ever have the last word in a conversation again................

  Actually Andi, In 1969 the 17th was on a Friday as there is only one day difference between 1969 and 2013.. So you were born on a Friday therefore biologically today is your birthday..

  69  ...   i was a hippy ,in Vancouver  verry inocent of the world lollllll ,just turned 18 , got busted for selling $5  worth of pot , did  6 months  ,they cut my long hair i cried for an hour .....   Lollllll                  ..............    Came out went to see Pink Floyd play their first album Middle i think   never been the same after that :)    Happy birthday mon ami  ANDY  and many more to come ..    Francois Frapp
