Oops. Misjudged the wind, but I found out that the bridge is faulty.

    Bridge

Camera 2 gives the best look.

It would be cool if an oops could turn into a lucky save.

If you look really closely you will see that somebody has removed the first plank of the bridge.  One can only wonder who would do such a thing.

    Wow. You're right.

Hmm. A little background. Once upon a time I was a mapmaker for a then fairly popular FPS. I'm wondering what stickler for detail, WGT programmer went to the trouble of putting the space in there. Trust me. Bridges that fit tight are much easier to construct.

    Hi Ho.

A missing plank, somebody help me, I'm sure there is a joke there.

    Refreshingly imperfect 1i

I'd say, it might have run off the left side of the bridge, and some mapping glitch gives a different impression.

Alas, "missing plank" is a lot funnier! Now imagine you might take a "Jesus shot" from there!

    Great shot!

You illegally escaped from a penalty shot IMHO ;) Be careful to have a rules official confirming the situation, or not to be caught after signing the scorecard! LOL

To me it looks like the ball is rolling down under the bridge from the greenside end and rests there, either on the slope or in the burn. Either way, water hazard rules apply (rule 26-1), drop at the far side from the green with one penalty stroke.

The immovable obstruction may be the surface of the bridge (ball rolling back on it?) or another artificial item (pillar?) in the water hazard. In this case (water hazard), there is no relief available (rule 24-2 b). Play it as it lies or apply relief from the water hazard as stated above.

Thus, unless special RSG conditions applying, this free(!) drop would make up for rules breach #4 in the game. (Note to myself: Start a list. Note 2: Play Royal St. Georges in natura)

The end bit of it is solid at least... CLICK.

But the middle doesn't appear to be solid at all...CLICK.
