How difficult would it be to install a "Poke" feature, similar to the one used on Teamspeak3, where you can Poke a player, type. and get an instant reply without having to go into the gameclient or PM. It could be limited to friends, so that from main profile or gameclient, players can be contacted instantly.
    Would be a great feature.

This is my suggetion to WGT, below is their reply

    Hello Royboy1946,

Thank you for contacting WGT Member Services with suggestions as to adding a Poke and chat feature so that players can chat outside of the game client.

If you could, please post your suggestion to the Product Suggestions forum, http://www.wgt.com/forums/9.aspx, where other players can comment on and contribute to your idea. We check this forum regularly, so this is the best place to showcase your ideas.

If you have any other questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact us at Support and we will be glad to help.

    Thank you,
    WGT Member Services

So what do you think fellow players?

Would be great to "Poke" a friend, "Hey, fancy a game". Instant reaction. If you like, comment please. The more "LIKE", the better chance of it happening.

From my 2 years experience in this forum, I'm afraid to say that your chances to become heard by the echelon have not grown bigger by your second - public - attempt.

Several ignorant responses have contributed to this opinion.

if we dont try, we get nowhere m8. its a good idea, and not that difficult to implement. it would also save space on the server by reducing PM's which have to stored some where. So the more players we can get on-board, the more likely WGT will comply. Make's sence to me.

All the things I've seen suggested that never happened always include the line " not that difficult to implement". Either they're all too difficult to implement or they're not a priority for our hosts. I could think of at least 25 things I feel more important. I don't bother making the suggestions because they're all so easy to implement.

    +1 Cerino!

We get nowhere regardless. There have hardly been any changes without a positive ROI, except for the Gimmie Button (and AFAIK it's still unconfirmed that it costs us nothing),

    (Edit: Sequence of phrases)

And, the thread starter's description is a proof in itself to their unresponsiveness. This is a well-known answer from customer service. Instead of positively accepting the proposal in the first time, they expect their customer to take a second try. Imagine a client coming to the CS counter of a firm with an idea or a proposal and they tell him, "I'm not here to listen to you, go next door to the big waiting room and discuss it with the crowd!" There, it soon becomes evident that company responses are rare, too.  Huh?

It's been a year since their CEO showed all of their ignorance to his clients in public. In the video chat, he blocked topics which had been widely discussed in the Forum (CC improvements) with the statement "This is new, take it to the Forum!" (not a literal quotation). I recognize this thinking of "I'm not prepared to talk about it!" in the above reply, don't you?

Not much change to the better since then, except for a new entertainer to divert our attention. (no personal pun intended, they do the jobs which are assigned to them).
