  I beg your pardon, what was left to you to understand from "gooder"? It is not correct school wording, but perfectly understandable.

  IMNSHO, this trolling is yours. It's a spelling flame, one of the lamer ones, especially when used against a probable non-native speaker.

  You better use your attention to cover posts of your fellow countrymen, some of them are really unintellegible.

  Be advised though that the mods have a close eye on this, especially protecting the non-native speakers. Thus, me, a non-native speaker, was protected from bantering a British person on his lousy use of language, by deletion and a serious PM.

  Let's try out some more combinations:

  (1) native speaker on non-native (this present experiment)

  (2) non-native speaker on native (*done*),

  (3) native speaker on native (your turn)

  (4) non-native speaker on non-native (vounteers anyone? not me for sure)

  A little help Precision,, my wife is from Harbin, far north east city in China,

  1st english is a butchery of many languages and the only one to put subject matter behind a LOT of useless words,, is,it, and, the, all these fillers & many more in english do not exist in many other languages. That is why others speak in what we call broken english. It is difficullt to go from  "Youyu zongxian" where Bus?,,, to " where is the Bus"? Throw in "can you tell me where the Bus is"?,, and you may understand why english is so difficult to learn for others. I am not kicking you down, I applaud u saying if u were in China ???

  2nd she being from Hong Kong or the southern region, they speak Cantonese, Most of the rest of the country speaks Mandarin as my wife. I have a cantonese friend & they have difficulty talking to each other. Add in the fact that there are 128 distinct dialects of Mandarin you may really understand the difficulties encounter by the Chinese.

  3rd  they are taught PROPER ENGLISH by people most exclusivly from England. The business people pay big money to people like me to teach them American SLANG.

  What's the big deal?  As already pointed out this is not the OP's native language, no need to be overly critical.

  There is some logic to the mistake anyway, if driver A is good and driver B hits the ball further, it's not unreasonable to think this driver is gooder.

  Believe me - I know. I'm in no way, shape, or form implying that Americans are on some intellectual pedestal today. If anything, the people I'm surrounded by are why I'm a little anal and picky when it comes to spelling and grammar. 

  They just bumble around with their cell phones and text messages and most of them don't even know how to address an envelope. As long as they're capable of ordering a cheeseburger and changing the channel to the next football game coming on, they're happy. It's pathetic.

  Holy Batman! Congratulations Precision420 for your astute observations regarding the grammar from the OP. To draw comparisons between the wasted youth with their text message mentality (I even had a person apply for a job with a CV written in text language) and a non native English speaker is totally ludicrous.

  I was lucky enough to live 5 years in Hong Kong, and despite a few basic sayings and several swear words, thats as good as my Cantonese got. So whilst poor grammar and spelling may bug me, for non native English speakers, regardless of country, I am full of admiration for them making the effort to converse in English. Incidentally the standard of English in HK is what I would regard as poor, unless schooled at an international school. I have seen English textbooks in HK that are grammatically incorrect, so little surprise that the English there is in decline.

  Over the last few months I have seen comments like this in many threads, and IMHO it will only deter players from seeking advice in the forums. For me the forums and the contributors helped my game enormously, and for pathetic comments such as these, all that will be achieved is alienating new players who fear being ridiculed.

  Here is what I don't understand Precision, you are only level 37, played since Nov 12. only played 44 ranked rounds, seldom play other formats but have over 180 posts. Perhaps you should just play a little more if you can't be objective in your posts. Just a thought.

  There really wasn't any need for that wall of text. The point was already made. 

  I took a 6 month break from the game and did other things. I've stated that several times on these forums. 

  Relax. You're not going to be the hero here.

  Sandy, to your Q on my wall what to buy next for about 1,000 crs, I don't know. You continue to play CTTH and Blitz, thus you don't need a putter too much (maybe for matches?). 3WD and wedges are o.k., so the next thing to buy might be a set of irons. R11 (fast meter) and G20 (slower) may be good choices, but at or over 2,000 crs.

  +1 regarding the necessities at Master tier.

  My additional thoughts do not apply to the Blitz and CTTH games which you mostly play. These habits, which are perfectly o.k., will not bring you to Master - stroke play will do the job!

  To get some more fun in the full games than always play the Starters, you might want to get  yourself a good 3WD as a replacement for the driver plus for a powerful second shot. I'd prefer the Level 58 G20 (495 crs) over the level 69 RBZ, high trajectory outweighing the five extra yards, and saving 100 crs.

  It may also be time to get a custom putter, there are a few with reasonable pricing between levels 35 and 55. As an example, the Rossa for 725 crs.

  Then, try a cheap custom ball, starting from 1 cr per nine hole round. (not for CTTH and Blitz if you act thrifty).

  Alternatively, for the single shot games, you might add a third and forth wedge for more precise shots. Again, a custom ball with some spin dots might be a good help.
