SpeedBlade Iron Set (Steel) (L75+) RocketBladez Iron Set (Steel) (L79+)

  Hi everyone! I need help!

  I am looking for an iron set! i am level 80, and i want to understand what is the best iron set available?

  I have tried the Rocket Bladez lvl 79 and they are very good, and they have a REAL HIGH loft! But i have read many good rewiews for the SpeedBlade lvl 75.

  i want to know what are the main differences between them, if they have the SAME, REAL high loft and everithing. ( i underline REAL HIGH, because for example the G20 has not a so high loft! )

  I want to spend money for a set that allows me to compet with ALL the players.

  I can't think of a player who doesn't seek the best clubs suited for them and their improvement. In truth, the finer players are fine players regardless of the gear they use. You will most likely follow the same path and utilize many different sets until finding the one that most matches you. Time & trial seem  to be the requirements...and some money.

  Hey Tommy... I'm at level 86... I've been using Ping G20's for quite some time.... I've rented both the SpeedBlade and RocketBladez... I ended up going with the SpeedBlade... I bit more credits but well worth it... I know the specs are the same, but I personally find the SpeedBlade more accurate and more forgiving than the Rockets. These clubs are deadly accurate with great range, and playing with the right gear on the ball you can pretty much stop it dead on landing from any distance, little to no roll. The swing meter is a tad faster but is the same as my wedges so not too bad. I find the clubs a bit less forgiving than the G20's if you miss the "Ding". But as long as you're close to the "Ding" you can still make a decent shot!.. Like any upgrade you just have to practice and get used to it... I would highly recommend these clubs to anyone looking to upgrade from G20's...

  I too have upgraded from top level G20's to these. I tried the Rockets and the R11's and in both cases found the meter speed not to my liking. I know many reckon the R11 to be the best club,but it doesn't suit ME.

  The Speeds seem to have a slightly slower meter speed to the Rockets,and certainly far more forgiving if you miss the ding. They stop really well,with a little roll out,but I like a bit of roll out. You don't have to hit the shot like a dart to be accurate then !!

  I thought I would stay with the G20's,but now I am glad to have changed and get a bit more length and accuracy, combined with the stopping power of these clubs. I am a Lvl 93 Legend and these are now helping me to lower my average.

  Rent them and see what you think,and good luck with them

  Another vote for SpeedBlades here. I'll echo what CAG and Fencer said: despite the stats, they seem to be better than the Rockets in all aspects, but particularly forgiveness and stopping power. For the first time, I feel like I'm "throwing darts" with my irons...and not just the 7-8-9 irons either.

  There have been a couple other "SpeedBlades vs RocketBladez" threads and most people are assuming the sets to be equal based on the dots/distances. They can go on thinking that...

  Despite posing this question on a couple threads,it looks like you've made your call and went with the Bladez,which are a good choice,IMO.For whatever it's worth,though,you don't have to "definitely" buy anything..there are players here who can shoot lights out with rocks and low end gear,so while having good equipment can add to your enjoyment of the game,the bottom line is,you have to find the gear that's right for you and your game,and practice,practice,practice with it until you become proficient with it. I've found that it usually takes a few weeks to get new gear dialed in properly,especially irons,which can be fickle at times regardless of brand..again,the key here is practice,patience and finding what works for you,personally.

  In checking your profile,I did notice,though that you rented the Cleveland 52 wedge.If I were you,I'd pass on that and get the Cleveland 56,60 and 64. The C52 hits about the same distance as your Bladez PW,and the PW will usually drop and stop,but if you're not careful,the backspin on the Cleveland will turn a 4 ft putt into a 20 footer.

  OP is a Tour Master - with a decent driver and the Blades with 125 yard PW the best set up IMHO is to lose the 3w and get all 4 of the Cleveland wedges.  I used that set up from M/TM tees and loved it way back when as did several others I know.  Learn all the shots with the wedges and you'll be deadly on any approach. My $.05.

  Hi Rich, I am also considering upgrading 2 Speedblades would u b kind enough 2 list the incrimination 4 each club ,i am curious about distance between each club.Cheers .Verdexon.

  Note the 10 yard gaps from 8 iron to PW - these have been the same since the Burners (rebranded as the Rocketbladez and now Speedbladez)) while the R11, G20 and the new Max Meter irons all have 15 yard gaps there.  I have the Rocketbladez and that is pretty much the only complaint I have with them, why that hasn't been fixed is beyond me...... drop the 9 to 130 and the PW to 115 and you have perfect gaps down to the 100 yard ATV or Cleveland wedges.
