Looking at the Ping Tour W wedges.  A 56,60 and 64 degree.  Also the Taylor Made

Ghost Spider putter.  Are these pretty good choices to upgrade to from the starter clubs.

    Thanks for any help.

    Hi Bob,

you'll get many opinions based on personal experiences.  for value, at 200 cr each i believe, the ping wedges are exceptional and will be a mammoth upgrade from the starter wedges.

the cleveland wedges (in my opinion) are the best wedges but are expensive, i used them all the way up until the higher level clevelands.

The ghost spider series of putters are very popular, and again will be a huge upgrade from starter equipment. the Rossa too is a great putter.

I'd take only two short wedges, they are sufficient below the Starter PW. Decide for a better third wedge later when you got some custom irons.

Putter: Rossa or Ghost, two preferred choices here.

I would definitly buy any putter rather than the starter putter its ok for short putts but VERY difficult to make any putt over say 15 foot.

I can only comment on the putter, I used the level  35 ghost  all the way up to level 92 and then bought the level 92 ghost. I am not the best putter but they work fairly well for me and I have known people that bought just about every putter available, and ended up with a ghost putter. I would recommend renting one and play a lot of games with it to see if you like the feel.

The level 60 Ping wedges are highly under rated , i find them the most accurate and best value for money .  Have used the high level clevland wedges for some time but will never regret switching to the Pings .

I repectfully object against "any putter". I prefer "any putter above 500 crs" because putting skills may not be good enough when those cheapos are available, and in this phase a player would hardly see much difference to the Starter putter while he misses the ding too often.

Me thinks that the Starter putter is one of the best clubs in that bag, along with the driver (except for it's lack of length).

I'd start at level 31 with a 3WD, two wedges at lvl 41, and a putter >500 when you need it, the Rossa is one of the best buys you can imagine, alas only at lvl 55 (72.715 XPs).

    Absolutely agree,

one of our players, just turned legend and has only just switched out the starter putter to a lvl 35 ghost.

I'd  definitely  go with the  Cleveland's!  I've been using them for a long time now and simply cannot fault them.  Excellent club!
