Half way through level 94, do i wait until 95 for the R11s or spend credits now on the Max.

Who may have them both, thoughts please!!

Hi Andy. The Max is a great club and will hit 247 yards with a Nike ball but the only problem with it, is that it is so much slower than the R11 irons. I haven't used the R11s club though as I'm a level below you.

I am interested in view's from this thread because I am same boat as you the OP level wise.  Compared to the basic R11 the L92 max easily edges it for me. As Courteney said 247 ish from fway.  From the tee stops on a penny 250 yards FBS; Nike ball.

If I have a complaint, and it's small, it arguably does not bite from fway approaches quite as well as the R11. FWIW the below video is what the L92 Max typically does green landing wise from a fway approach.  I am Interested see how others AB this to the R11S although I do know of at least one TL (solid player) who changed from the R11S and still  prefers the slower meter Max.

I agree with the others about the R11s, but, I have recently switched to the Max 3wd for the sole reason to try a slower meter.

So far I am not at all disappointed.  Here are two replays,

Both shots had same wind and same point of aim, thanks to the mulligan feature.

From BPB hole #1 tee box, full back spin and both dinged with the L33 Callaway ball.

    Max 3wd

    R11s

Will try to get them both from the FW once I get a chance.

I totally disagree.  The r11's is indeed a very nice club, but check the stats.  For my $ the max 3w is the way to go.  I have the max driver, the max 3w and the max hybrid and absolutely love the slower meter.  I'm going to get the max Iron set soon as I reach L94 in a couple of days.

I think the most important thing is trying to have consistency in meter speed as you pull different clubs out of your bag.  Hard to maintain autopilot dinging when the meter speeds are different from your driver to your 3 wood to your irons to wedges to your putter.

    ^^

A secret weapon...much better than stats suggest and the forgiveness, wow, sets mind so much at rest that I can't remember the last time I missed a 'ding'

In top 5 of things I've purchased here, along with the 64 * Satin and the L90 irons...

What are people averaging off the tee FBS with the L95 R11S?
