Yes, it is an animated gif (it repeats 9 nine times then stops, to prevent it from driving people nuts, haha). I've only just learned how to make them. One application I have, Corel Draw, can turn a series of still images into gifs, and another application, Camtasia Studio, can turn a screen recording into a gif, so I've lots of things to muck about with.
