OK gang, I'm notto shabby on a computer but  I've been playing this for a while and cannot get the feel for putting. I know how to read the greens and the distance and aount of stroke eludes me. Is ther some indiator to show how hard you are hitting the ball??? I know there are the distance indicators but I can't figure out how far to move the indicator. I am usually to hard and pass the pin by alot. Give me a hint please, if there is one.

try the practice rounds and keep hitting the same putt over and over until you get the feel for the distance.

You have several options to work out how hard to hit your putts.

Have a look in the forums for RUNWME printable distance scales, covers most putter brands and meters, and the different meter speeds. Alternatively there are lots of formulas in the forums too.

Then if you combine this with the putter pal, or make your own with 10% increments, used together you then have a good guide re distance.

When using these you then need to factor in the slope on the greens, a very simple guide is to add a foot for each inch uphill, and subtract for down hill. As the greens speeds get faster, you will need to take more off, especially on very big slopes.

    Good luck

The key I believe is to learn HOW to read the meter scale. I watched other players and was shocked by how different their interpretation of the meter is.

Obviously the entire scale is 100%. What I used to do is place my finger in the very middle so I would know where 50% is. So if the meter is 100ft then 50% will net you 50ft.

What I finally decided to do is use a piece of paper and cut it exactly the length of the entire meter scale, The draw a line halfway and 2 more lines in half. So you will have a total of 3 lines representing 25%, 50%, and 75%. The ends are 0 and 100%. Then I would place the piece of paper on my monitor exactly where the meter appears.

Now every shot can be divided into fourths.

This would be very similar to using the putter pal. But I don't like putter pal because it gets in the way of my sight line and only serves to confuse me. Hope this helps.
